All I was told by a friend is that there is a 15% off the NFL store coupon, but if that's wrong, don't shoot the messenger. :lol:

Yeah, something like that. And there was a 20%-off coupon too, but that was YMMV. Lots of people picked up a DS copy of Madden to take advantage of that deal. =p
 
I was hoping for the TRU deal again this year. I got Madden 08 for the 360 for $50 with the 20% coupon and TRU broke the date on Bioshock so I picked that up for $30 as my 1/2 off game. Also online I ordered Madden 08 at TRU online and was able to pre-order Guitar Hero III with guitar for $45 as my 50% game. Sold one copy of Madden.

This year I took advantage of $10 off any game $29.99 and up then you pre-order Madden from BB.com. Picked up Warhawk with headset at my $29.99 game with in-store pickup.

Thanks for summarizing the deals. I went to amazon to take a look at the gift card offer because I ddn't see that when I preordered and got a pleasant surprise to find that they have added release date delivery to madden as well. It is free to Prime members so I changed from one day to release date. Thanks OP.
 
I just ordered it from Amazon. Thanks a lot. I'd rather get a $10 Gift Card that I can use maybe on the Soul Calibur IV stick. I'll have to cancel my pre-order from Gamestop though.
 
I'm going to hold off preordering from Amazon, I would like to see if someone can confirm the $10 gift card at TRU. Is that possible?

EDIT: Confirmation found in the 8/10-8/16 TRU ad found here. Looks like I'll be getting it there.

Well I just called my TRU and they didn't have the LE of Madden in their system or the $10 gift card either, just the Favre figure. Anyone else have this problem? And yes I want the LE so it's a deal breaker for me.
 
So as far as we know the TRU deal is ymmv? Meaning If you use the 20% coupon they might not give you the gift card?

They SHOULD have recieved them by now, however it seems TRU is very unreliable getting stuff out to their stores. Mine received the cards a week or two before we got the Favre figures, which came this past week.

at sportsauthority use coupon code TSAHNS for 15 off 75 and free shipping on NFL orders over 50 (it qualifies) on CE

comes out to 74.99 .. but tax is charged in a few states (CA, GA, KY, MA, NY and PA) which makes it worse than amazon

The 711 had a sign near my house if you purchased any size Snickers candy bar when you picked up madden it would be $10 off. Don't know if its nationwide but shrug, since its a block away ill be there at midnight to pick it up.

Correct on the no-preorder necessary. Originally the figure was a pre-order bonus, but was changed to just purchase the game and get everything.

The 20% off coupon is part of a small coupon book that you get when you purchase something in store. Starts on the 15th, and runs for 2 weeks, each week having a 20% off any one item coupon(usual TRU exclusions apply).
 
I think I'm going to cancel my Amazon order, head to TRU before work today, preorder Madden, find the coupon book, and voila. Madden + Favre figurine + $10 GC for $52.18.

If I put $5 down on the game now, will the 20% be taken from $60 or $55 at the time of purchase?
