How many games were on 2 discs?

I know I have a few....

Both Baten's had 2 discs

And Tales of Symphonia had 2...

But what else? I have 2 more new dual cases, and wondered if I should keep them for games that I might grab later, or just use the for one disc games to use them up..... I could buy some more cases too...

Anyways, please add more to the list, or if there is a list, where?

Copying the list off of Wikipedia, these are all the 2 disc games released in the U.S.

If you mean on Wikipedia, I didn't find it until I started digging through search engine results. When I tried directly on Wiki, it just kept bringing up the GC's main page.

Some of those I didn't even know were 2 discs until I looked. Especially since their PS2/Xbox versions are one disc. Guess it goes to show how small the GC discs are.

It also goes to show how small some of the games really were, if they could fit on a GC disc. IMO, we had some good stuff on those small discs!

Ribbit King was on two discs? Isn't that just a golf game? Perhaps the extra disc wasn't really a 2nd part to the game, but rather a "bonus disc"?

well even if it was a bonus disc ... you wouldn't get two cds in a one cd case.

what would you do.. .throw it away?

Anyways, glad to get the list, and there were a few that I didn't know of.

Actually there's two more combo packs that come in 2 disc cases. Didn't even think about it until someone brought up the bonus disc.

Metroid Prime w/ Metroid Prime 2 demo
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest & Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

It's still pretty amazing that they needed a short FPS like MoH: Rising Sun on 2 discs, but Twilight Princess only took one.

Maybe the voice acting had something to do with it. I have no idea whether MoH had voice acting though.

I wonder why Tiger Woods 2004 and 2005 were on 2 discs, but not 2006.

Ok, that's just BS.

Having to need 2 discs is nothing to be proud of, and I certainly wouldn't try to pursue all multi-disc GameCube games. GameCube discs only had 1.2GB of space. That's 300MB less than a UMD has.

It always amazes me when people think more discs = more content = better game. The main reason why games have multiple discs are FMVs and pre-rendered backgrounds. This is very true for FF and RE.

Agreed, all 2 disc games on GC show that either the game was too big for one disc. That or the developers were lazy/didn't want to compress the game to fit onto one disc(especially EA's 2 disc games).

Don't forget there is also the Mario Kart Double Dash first print that came with a bonus disc in a GCN 2-disc case.

Or they didn't want to compromise the quality, especially in regards to the audio. I wish Sega had used two discs for Skies of Arcadia. The music was totally gimped in that game (and that was not the only case, based on some reviews I've read for other games).
