I'm thinking about making a video game podcast, so if anyone wants to guest/co-host (preferably young-ish because I'm 14, plus you also need skype and a mic). Also if you can think of a name for it, or just comment on,the idea,please post.

How old are you JMEPO? It would be cool to do a 'junior CAG' podcast, and talk to other CAGs like Doomed and Darthbudge.

I'm 14, But I know more about gaming and the industry itself than most any other person you'll find my age. I like the idea alot!
 
It's final. I've decided the hosts for the CAG Junior Podcast (Working Title) and they are..

Yet, I dont know, if all hosts should be on at once, so maybe roatate through the podcast, or rotate every podcast. So next stage: What should it be called? It should somehow incoporate the younger age of the hosts: I'm still yet to decide if this will be affilated with CAG (I'll talk to the godfather of CAG, CheapyD). So post your ideas for a name.

Screw having a dumbass name emphasizing your age. Try to come up with some cool or at least interesting for a name. Lil' Rascals is fine, but CAG Kids Table and CAG Kindergarten are no good.
 
You PMed me as well, and I'm going to reiterate what I said in reply to the PM here.

How would having younger people talking make the show better or different? Wouldn't you be talking about the same things as any other podcast? Also if you want people to take young people seriously, don't have a fucking stupid name like CAG Kindergarten or Kid's Table.
 
The test run/pilot will be recorded on Friday the 12/09/08 at 8:30 CST (Be on Skype at 8, for half hour prep). So beforehand could you please add or examine the outline, which will be sent to you soon, for you to add on to.

Sorry man but I gotta say our age shouldn't affect the quality of the podcast in any way, shape, or form. If were going to actually have this happen we need to have a show outline with what we are going to talk about throughout the show so it's not just us rambling on. I think it's perfectly fine to talk about our personal lifes but the focus of this podcast is gaming so we need to keep it somewhat that way.

We also need to check the audio quality and see that it's OK. I understand that your mic is having issues at the moment but I would really like to do a sample show before we posted anything to see if everything goes OK. You also need to get permission from Cheapy. (I suggest sending him a sample if you really want this to maybe happen.

One more thing that sorta bothers me is that you have 15 posts, I ain't no FriskyTanuki but I have been here for about a year now and some people know me. Good luck on making this happen, And if you can I'm deffinatey willing to co host.

So what people aren't even checking with Cheapy if its ok to use CAG in their "podcast". Ridiculous. People aren't gonna bother with these fucking fan podcasts. Why would i care about fans trying to recreate something good and turn it into dog turd?
 
Ok, just to reitirate to people that the upcoming recording is a TEST RUN, and we have an outline which the hosts can modify (see link above) Also, I have decided to make the podcast not to be majorly affiliated with CAG (e.g CAG Foreplay) due to several reasons (expectations and stigma from fellow CAG's, etc.)
 
I'd LOVE to be a part of this, but I dont have a microphone, and since I live on the other side of the world, I dont know if I could use a phone

tip: dont make it formal. just relax and shoot the shit. talk about interesting stuff. Dont feel like you HAVE to talk about x or y.

So, is there any way I can participate without a microphone?

Sorry, Guys, but I may have to pull the plug on this due to personal reasons. The other hosts can continue to carry on and make this project work, but I sadly won't be involved in this. I am deeply sorry if anyone had high hopes and beliefs about the podcast. But saying that, It aint dead yet.
 
Any reasons why? I don't care either way just curios as to why your bailing on this. It seems like you put a lot of time into it.
 
Just the lack of spare time really, Soccer and School is getting really hectic lately, I soon might get back into the podcasting business with a friend of mine later down the track and you will be entirely open to guest on my next possible podcast.
