Is Amazon no longer doing free shipping?

So was planning on buying a few guides using Amazons free shipping for orders over $25 last night but was tired and went to bed. Now when I look everything is listed as free shipping with Amazon prime. I checked a few other things I regulary have shipped such as DVD+Rs and again see the same thing....free shipping with Amazon Prime.

Anyone know if they have switched it over for good?
 
Free shipping only applies to things Amazon sells directly. Amazon also lists stuff from other stores, those items do not have free shipping.

I did check that it was from amazon directly. Just look at DVD+R's. I have been buying them directly from amazon for the past 2 years and each and every single one just says Amazon Prime now not free shipping.

I still see this on some...

Eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping.

I think they are phasing back the Saver shipping, but I do know that Prime shipping is advertised alot and sometimes would not say "Eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping." if it says free shipping with Prime.

Looks like the truck icon is gone which stinks... made it easier to spot.

Shipping is a big part of online business, and I could see eventually Amazon rearing back from that.

fortunately I grabbed prime... but for how much I bought it was totally worht it.

They were only amazon prime when I posted it I swear. They arnt now....but at the time they were.
 
I actually got all freaked out this morning as I was looking at a bunch of video games that would be shipped directly from Amazon, and they all said not eligible for Amazon Prime, but they're back to normal now, so I guess it was a glitch?
 
Yeah, I've noticed a lack of mentioning the free shopping on occasion recently. Hopefully they aren't deciding upon ditching it. It's the main reason why I buy stuff on Amazon.

Ya 90% of the time Amazons price only beats in store prices like Walmarts by like $3-$5. So if they start charging shipping I simply see no reason to use them. Maybe if Amazon prime was like $40ish it would be worth biting on....but $80 is just insane.
