Free FICO credit score report

Mine should be pretty good. Thanks OP.

EDIT: Looks like the only section that wasn't in the Very Good or Great section was the length of my credit history. Which is understandable, since I'm still fairly young.

Good for me = bad for my credit:

1) Bought a new car a few months ago.
2) Checked around for best quotes for credit on the new car.

My credit was in the "great" category a few months ago, now it's in the "good" category. Oh well. By the time I need it again, I'll at least be in the "very good" category.

Thanks OP

Mine was great, only category less than very good was open credit. I take advantage of promotions like Bill Me Later from time to time.

You only get a real fico score at myfico.com. It's the website of Fair Isaac, the actual fico people. It's what a bank will use when you try for a loan or mortgage. What you get from the various credit reporting agencies (equifax, transunion, experian) is commonly referred to as "faco" scores. They can be as much as 100 points different than Fair Isaac.

Also, they have a free deal where you get a equifax report and score.

EDIT: I just noticed that this is myfico.com.
Can you not get the actual score on www.annualcreditreport.com? It's the federally required site that allows you free access to your credit report any time once in a 12-month period.
No, unfortunately they only give you the reports.

744. Very nice. The only negative was that I haven't had a history very long. I'm 23 and have only had a credit history for maybe 3 years now.

dead

alas just got off of work.

oh well.....

Ah, I see. If any of you are applying for a loan/credit card you might be able to sweet-talk your rep or underwriter into giving you your score. They're not supposed to since they are not the actual credit reporting agency, but I've gotten it three or four times that way.

PS I wish I had an "H" on my forehead so I could hang out with your avatar.
