If anyone is intersted in a free code to download the Endwar beta for Xbox 360 which starts today, please post a message on this thread giving your opinion of who will win the World Series and why.

I will read the posts later in the day and the most convincing one will get the code via PM.:)

The cut off time for posts will be 8pm EST.:bouncy:

Red Sox because of their strength at pitching (Lester is the man) and young talent. They have rid themselves of the bad seeds in the locker room and can now concentrate on baseball (no more Manny being Manny).

OK if reasoning is going to pitching you have to go to the Rays. Red Sox pitching isn't even good lol so i don't know what your watching..they have matsusaka and lester. Lester really hasn't proved anything but that he's been able to get through some games...beckett is hurt.
I would say the Dodgers win the world series, they have a strong offense and good pitching. Also a manager who has plenty of postseason experience and one of the best and one of the best hitters in all of baseball on the Dodgers. None of the Red Sox are even close to being one of the best hitters in baseball. I'd be suprised if the Red Sox make it past the Rays which they won't. So considering it will be a rays dodgers world series its impossible the red sox can win. I'd say the dodgers take it all.

I'm going with Tampa Bay because they were one of the best teams in the league all season long even with injured players, but now with the return of Longoria and addition of top prospect Price that makes their bullpen even stronger. The only thing holding them back is their lack of playoff experience, but that isn't necessarily the deciding factor.

I'm going to say that the Red Sox will win.

The Sox now have Jason Bay instead of Manny, and now I'm a big fan. You know he won't dog it and get lazy halfway through games which is nice too. I predict he'll come through in big ways at least a couple times while in the playoffs, which will lead the team to the trophy.

No matter who wins the series, I still want in on the beta, lol :)

Tampa Bay because Red Sox lost Manny and no matter what (even though there better) I just don't see them being able to do it against Tampa first in.

Well, whoever wins the ALCS will win it, dodgers are really much of a team and phillies are known to choke.

Tampa Bay, because my God, they've been in the basement so long that they're due. Have a good combination of talent, confidence, and energy. It just seems like their year. Plus the name change must have done something good!

Also I go with Tampa because if they can win it after so many years of sucking, then there is still hope for the O's.

Tampa Bay because I am moving their in 6 months. :)

Sorry I dont watch baseball. But I do want to get into the beta. please consider me.

Red Sox because of Lester and Beckett. I think he'll be great again and just needed the first start to warm up and get back together. Dice-K is also great while being infuriating as a fan since he walks so many people. Our offense is solid top to bottom even without Lowell and you know the Sox will want to prove that they can do it without Manny, whether we do play the Dodgers or the Phillies.

The Dodgers will win the world series because they have a good talented team, mixed with young and veteran players. They proved that having the best record in the regular season means nothing in the playoff, nobody expected them to sweep the cubs. It's been 20 years since the dodgers been this far in the playoff, and with this team I know they could win it all.

Dodgers.......They have a fantastic OVERALL team, that are capable in both pitching, hitting, fielding, and baserunning. They don't have an overall strong point, but dont have a necessary weak point either. Their team is the kind of the team that takes each other win. What I mean by that is that each guy plays a role on the team, and its not focused on just one man.

Plus with a great, and accustomed to playoff's, coach like Joe Torre, they have the leadership to push them to that next level.

The Philadelphia Phillies.

In my 19 years of life, I have never personally watched them win the world series. Most seasons, they are treated like a joke team. In recent years though, they have really come through to form a solid team. Between Ryan Howard's (My favorite player in the league) batting, Uttley's batting and fielding, Rollins' running, and Hammels pitching, I believe they have a strong chance.

Thank you everyone who posted a comment...I have sent a PM to the winner with the code.

Oh yeah, to answer the question about the beta delay...it did get delayed a couple more days, but I did get my code from Gamestop via email today. I pre ordered the game like 2 months ago and entered my information on their website to receive the code. I couldn't believe when I got it. I am also receiving an additional 2 codes from Ubisoft...so I will probably post those up when I get them.

My 360 got the red ring of happiness last week so I will not be participating in this beta and therefore can give these codes away.

Ummm, I looked, no PM... :D

I can't decide, Tampa Bay or Dodgers. I think they are both on a roll and have good hitting. Dodgers swept their first series, their pitching is doing good and since Manny got transferred there is no stopping him or the Dodgers. Boston's pitching is not at its best right now, Becket is not doing so well and do they really have someone that can help them more than him right now. Phillies hitting is not hot right now Howard is not helping so much Post-Season and they really need him, i don't believe their pitching can stop the other team's hitting power. Tampa is probably my #1 pick. They are hot hot hot. They got to post season which is already great for them but they also won first place in their division with one of the less impresive check books agains 2 of the greates check books, Yankees and Red Sox. Their pitching is doing ok but their hitting is doing WONDERFULL. Longoria is doing wonders for the team and in their last game against the Sox he did not ome through but Tampa doesn't just depend on him, the rest of the hitting came through, they may not have the best pitching but I think they have the best hitting by far right now.

I have to say LA, they shut the Cubs down pretty good and they were probably the best team in the NL this year. Its hard to say that as a White Sox fan but it was true. LA is hot going into the playoffs and that usually is enough to win it all.

The AL is the dominant league but the Dodgers pitching staff has been very consistant the last month and a half and with Manny there they now have a legitimate HR threat in their lineup.

Apparently not the Cubs...

I'd put my money on the Rays, they're just plowing through the competition

Tampa bay because I was born there and always been a rays fan, even when they were
doing porly.I am so glad they are much more respected(except what happened on tbs, idiots)team then they were before.

If someone doesn't win and wants one i have an extra coming when i get mine that ill give a way for a couplea ms points.

The Rays, they have been hot all year, they will have the homefield advantage against Boston(which they have only lost one game to at home) and the NL is weak all over. The world series will be the Rays v. Dodgers. The Rays will prove that great D and pitching wins while they shut down Manny and the rest of the Dodgers.

Rays in 6.

Kevbo887 IS THE WINNER for those who were curious.....His explanation was pretty good and well thought out. Congratulations!
