Its the day I joined CAG but also the date 9 of the top 100 joined CAG. Doesn't that seem like a high percentage of people joining on one day? Was there some kind of email ad or somethign that ran that day. Percentage wise it seems to be too much of a coincidence
 
Wasn't that about when CAG got mentioned in EGM? I know that's what brought me here, and that's why a lot of regulars are from December 2003.
 
Thats what i was thinking I remember seeing it in EGM but not checking it out at that time. i did lightly cruise the Gamefaqs boards so maybe that is the reason I came here. For how bad my memory is it must have well happened 10 years ago

I saw a link at gamefaqs around november 2003, but never signed up I would always just check the front page, it wasnt till later that I actually joined.

I was browsing the opening page and a little of the forums for a while, but the Black Friday deals could only be viewed by registered members, so basically I "took the plunge" to see what was up. It was the first forum of any sort I joined and I've enjoyed it since.

"Back in the day" there were no avatars, sigs, or the Off-topic forum, seems so long ago.
 
I think I found out about this place from a post at gamefaqs by bluetoast in summer 03. Strangely, I didn't join until December.
 
I browsed the site since that summer, but didn't sign up until November, in order to reply to the Massachusetts CAG thread.
 
Moxio's sig was funny a year and a half ago, when Steam was actually having trouble.. now it's extremely fast and reliable. To me, anyways.

I wasn't trying to flame you, you're a cool guy.. I just haven't had any problems with Steam lately at all. Have you?
 
I found out through EGM, but I didn't have my own internet connection then. Plus, I hadn't ever been a member of a message board before. So it was a few weeks before I ended up joining.
 
I wish I could remember how I found CAG, but it's been so long. Of course, for joining in 09/03, you'd think I'd have a higher post count...
 
I'm at a complete loss to recall where and when I first heard of this site. When the advance buzz for the big Circuit City $5 blowout started I had vague recollection of this site's existence and a google later I was mired in its corruption and lost to the world of decency suggested retail pricing.

Technically, its his account that I use (the IGN collection is all his games). He created his own in the summer, but since I'm always logged on, he just uses that, and he rarely posts. He said he was posting a magazine deal when he saw this topic on the main page and responded. I don't have a computer at my house, so when I'm over here (at his house) is the only time I can get on this site. He's my ex, but we break up a lot, so we'll probably be back together by the end of the week. Even if were not going out, he's still my best friend, and I still come over here a lot :D.
