Ever accidentally buy a game?

CAGiversary!
So my girlfriend is fanatically playing Lego Batman on the wii, I look down and see her umbrella fell on my xbox controller. The xbox is on and when I switch the video input I notice that the Rez title screen is showing. I didn't enjoy the demo but somehow the xbox was turned on and Rez was purchased. At least it was a game on sale.

Anyone else accidentally purchase a game either downloaded or somehow at the store?

Never.

I generally have enough coordination and self-control to prevent the dreaded "umbrella drop" on a controller for online game purchases.

I also pay enough attention to notice what I have in my hands or in a shopping cart at the store and also pay attention during the check-out process to make sure something didn't somehow get past me.

What? Who does that?

The only reasonable incident I can imagine is a young child buying things without understanding the repercussions.

i haven't accidently bought something, but my little boy has
and i didnt find out til about a month later

it was the COD4 map pack and since i never play COD4 i didnt know
what a waste, at least all my points have been free so no whooping
my XBL account is now password protected and he has his own account

Since you have to not only select to purchase the full version, but you then have to confirm it, how did an "umbrella fall" manage to purchase the entire game?

It's probably a good umbrella.

I don't remember what it was, but I think I sleep-bought a song in Rock Band 2 or something. I woke up one morning and it was there. It was some song from the soundtrack to The Rocker.

Or maybe that was a free download. I don't know. One day it just said "purchased" on my system.

I know i've bought games while really drunk and wondering I bought a shitty XBLA games.

The last one I did this with is the fighting game that's kind of like super smash brothers...but not so good.

I was playing around on the WiiShop channel one night trying to figure out block requirements for certain games. To do that, you basically have to go to the purchase page. I was tired and I hit 'purchase' instead of 'cancel'.

So, yeah, I accidently bought World of Goo, which was the best mistake EVER.

Similar thing happened to me, Chacrana.

My roommate no longer gets to vote on what I buy on the VC.

EDIT: 007's story wins the "happy accident" category, demoting my conception to "honourable mention".

Free download, played it for the 1st time yesterday and I'm pretty sure I'll be getting rid of it.

Back on topic, accidently? nope. Drunken purchase? yup.

Haven't done it drunk. Have done it for a couple of times just not paying attention hard enough to two games that have almost the exact same damn name save for 1 or 2 letters.

Yeah, I did that too. I was looking at Super Mario RPG and accidentally bought the game. I would have bought the game anyways, but the money I had assigned to my account was going to be used for an upcoming episode of Strong Bad.

XBLA does not prompt a password or something before a purchase?

That kinda sucks...would hate to have douche bag friends over and spend all your points as a joke...
The umbrellas have become self aware. Hollywood got it wrong.
There are 12 models. They look like fans....and they have a plan.

Nope and it doesn't look much different than downloading a demo (there is a line that says the point cost rather than the line saying free)
You're lucky, OP. My umbrella fell over once and took out a mortgage on my house.
I hate when that happens. I came home from work early one night and found my wife cheating on me with our umbrella. I was heartbroken to say the least.

I accidentally changed my gamertag once. I put in what I wanted it to be, thought about it and decided I didn't want to spend $10 just to change my name and ended up hitting confirm instead of cancel.
