Shenmue II PAL for Dreamcast -- REPOSTED

Is it true that it's "Out Of Print"? I have one.. I'd buy it for $35 from you, but you never responded to my PM.
 
i am gussing at this point even the Xbox Shenmue II is out of print, but local Fry's still have many copies even at $5. The DC version has sub instead of dub which many people prefered.

I already picked up FFNY from FYE using my trade in credit, otherwise, I might have done the trade. As far as the other games go... I didn't know what to make of your post. I almost thought it was sarcasm, with my list and what-not. :p

Yeah, I highly prefer the DC version, but I figure I'd rather have the $35 than the japanese voices.

I don't think the auction was pulled because he used the word "Rare" or "PAL." I looked up the mentioned policy, and it has to do with copyright infringement. What was in your item description? Maybe it had to do with instructions for playing imports, bootdiscs, or mod-chips.

It's a dreamcast game. They're all out of print - except in Japan.

It's not because it was an import. There are thousands of imports on Ebay, and I definitely didn't give any info on mod chips or boot discs.
 
Here's the thing, and it sounds stupid because it is, you said you needed a mod chip or bootdisk...they do not like that. If you relist, make sure you mention that it will not run on U.S. machines, and to e-mail you for any other info. Ebay searches for certain keywords that include what you had in there.

Because you're circumventing technology that limits access to copyrighted material, so it's illegal according to the DMCA.

How are you circumventing anything if you play it on an imported console?!
 
You're right. If both the console and the game belong to the same foreign region, you're within the bounds of the law. But circumventing region codes is illegal.

How many people, though, would use a PAL shenmue II on a PAL Dreamcast in the U.S.? Most people wouldn't even have any way to display a PAL signal.

As far as the auction goes, it doesnt matter. Owning a forign cartridge/cd/pal vhs tape is not illegal...but explaining how to get them working IN THE AUCTION is the bad thing., as far as Ebay goes
