Best way to get coupons and deals in Japan?

I order frequently in Amazon Japan and I wanna how I can get deals and coupons or discount on that site.
Are there other online sites in Japan that can offer lower prices? Or sites that show all the deals in Japan?

Not sure, I've been asking my Japanese friends and they tell me amazon or rakuten, not sure if rakuten does international shipping though. Your best bet would be to a ticket over here.

Well I have a friend who lives in Japan! He can send stuff for me I purchase and ship it to his house!
Yeah I like Amazon. But I haven't really tried Rakuten!

Its pretty much Amazon, not sure what you mean by deals though. There are Tsutaya bookstore literally at every station (even the small ones out in the remote country) that sell second hand games/consoles and heck, I even saw some sega saturn and SUPER NINTENDO cartridges.

I'd suggest Yahoo Japan auctions. You can bid up to 5000yen without a credit card or Yahoo BB! account. I get good stuff on there (Esp. if it's not pristine condition). Eg. a 5000yen JP 360 with RROD that I promptly had microsoft pick up and fix for me for free.

It certainly depends what you are looking for. If you are looking for new releases, you will most certainly do better buying the Asian version of games from Play-Asia.com

Free shipping to Japan. For $14, you can get (usually) next day shipping via UPS.

Yodobashi Point Cards + Slot Machine + Small daily purchases to use Slot Machine = Free points....a lot of points.

I got 800 points off one slot machine before...that's almost 10 bucks!

You have some good $ saving ideas on Yadabashi and Tsutaya, perhaps we can start a consistently updated thread on deals in Japan. The point card system is probably 1% (like amazon.co.jp) I'm assuming?

Nope, it's a solid 10%!

Buy a game for 8000, get 800 points...which is 800 yen.

Buy a TV for 100000, get 10000 points...which is 10000 yen!

BEST. CONCEPT. EVER.

Er...no it's not.
Some things only give you 1-5% back in points.
For example, a Wii console only gets you 5% back.

Pretty sure most big electronics (TVs, PCs, etc.) are less than 10% back in points too.

When I went to SoftMap a while back, I got a tv for 70,000円. They gave me close to 7000円 back in points...I used that to buy Uncharted for 4000円 and they added the 400 points to my card.

I've just had better luck with points. Every game, book, movie, music I bought has given back 10%.
