Which next-gen system do you own?

This has probably been done a million times before, but I was just wondering which systems people owned. It seems like most people here have PS2's and Gamecubes but no Xbox. Please don't get upset for not including the Dreamcast. I love that system, but it doesn't seem relevant for this poll. I also wanted a poll with all the different combinations instead of forcing people to pick one.

Wow, I was kind of surprised by the number of people with all three. Of course, theres only 9 votes so far, which isn't really statistically significant.

Yeah, I'm pretty impressed with the results so far. It does further enrage me about multiplatform games when I see that people have all three systems.

ps2 and gc, and maybe an xbox from fye for $119.99 :)

btw, my friend bought me ps2 for my b-day, my bro bought me gc for christmas. maybe my cheapass should buy the xbox from fye, lol!

Gotta go with the Unholy Trinity, folks.

And people that won't buy an xbox b/c of the involvment with MS don't deserve one.

I bought a PS2 then a GameCube for myself. My boyfriend gave me an XBox for Christmas. So yeah, I'm in the "all 3" camp as well.

Now the only problem is getting them online.

i barely even play my sp anymore...then again i have a pocket pc and a laptop, som im kinda set on the portable bit...

PS2 only here. I camped out on the concrete infront of tartget to get it at release and it's been great to me, other than having to be sent in for repairs THREE F-ing times (out of warranty every time but Sony never charged me).

I play the hell out of that and my SP but I've been planning on gettin' a cube for along time I just can't justify the purchase when there is so much to do on the two consoles I do own.

If I had money to burn I'd get an XBox just for Steel Battalion, but that'd run over $400 (system+SB+Live Kit) and you can't really pirate SB because of the controller. I don't got that sorta scratch.

Damn dude, your friend kicks ass!
i think it wasnt because it rare to find sonmeone who claims to be a gamer who doesnt have a gb
I'm a rarity, I don't have one.... :)

Like the majority thus far, I own all three.

I have all three. Initially, I didn't want any of them. But shortly after PS2 launch I picked one up. Same with Xbox. I hadn't planned on getting a GameCube but a friend of mine wound up with two and gave me the extra.

I just have a cube, eventually will pick up the XBOX and PS2, but so many of my friends have these that I have played A LOT of the games for both already. Since I came in late owning my cube I am still catching up this generation, and have a lot of games still to play.

Had PS2 since shortly after launch and just recently picked up a GC. Don't think I will be getting an XBOX anytime soon since I am spending more on games and I have so many to finish.

PS2 and Gamecube here (and a GBA as well). I just don't feel a need for an xbox, plus I find myself with less and less time to play video games...

PS2 and Xbox here. Had a PS2 now for while, just got the Xbox a few months ago. Don't plan on getting the GC as it doesn't appeal to me (I'm a fan of sports and online titles).

Very interesting how many trifectas there are. I wouldnt have expected, but then again, I don't generally trust internet polls, always people trying to skew results.

I think it's about time we start calling them "THIS Gen" systems. It's been three years people. The next generation is only two more years away... technically they are NEXT Gen systems. Once the PS3, Xbox Next, and GC's successor are released, then they, too, will cease to be NEXT Gen, and become THIS Gen.

That said, I've got everything but Xbox, which I am waiting for the second price drop of the year to purchase. If there was a pack-in deal with that green limited edition Xbox, I'd have got it this weekend, but color alone was not enough to motivate me at the $150 price point.

I've got all three. X-box gets the most abuse ( I've had it since launch and not one problem ) then PS2 and finally GC

I have all 3 as well...I try to tell myself that it doesn't make sense to have all 3, as I don't have the time to play the games anyways...but come launch time, I out there ordering one! Oh well... I love them all equally, so their still worth it!

Wow, I'm surprised at how many people have all three. Guess this is mainly hardcore gamers on the board :)

I'm also a bit surprised that more people have PS2/GC than the PS2/Xbox combo. I guess it's because there is more overlap between PS2 and Xbox than there is between GC and the other two?

I have all three. The PlayStation 2 took me awhile to get. I had a hard time finding one in the store. I got my GameCube the day after it was released and the Xbox about two weeks after it was released.

xbox and PS2 here

i had a chance to pick up a gamecube for $100 about a year ago, i couldn't justify buying it for a few games, so i passed.

xbox gets the most love right now

That's sad you feel that way. I have a hard time considering someone a gamer if they don't own an xbox. Unless you're a die-hard RPG fan I doubt people play the PS2 much. Of the people with all three, I wonder which system they play the most.

i havent played my x-box in months. last time i played it was to review toe jam and earl 3. im a shooter fan at heart, but look at my sig. i love my ps2. x-box i only got for munch and tj&e. i have over 400 games. am i not a gamer cause i dont really play my x-box?

Then you must not realize that the Xbox is not a console. A true gamer would know this. It's a PC made to look like a console. I'm not knocking the games nor do I want this to become a flame war. I am merely stating a fact.

Unless you're a die-hard RPG fan I doubt people play the PS2 much.

:?:

I've got a PS2 and a GC (along with a few old school systems, a GBASP, and a DC), but I've really been wanting an XB lately.

I know it sounds pathetic, but as a married old fart (actually I'm only 27...), I find that I really don't have that many buddies coming by the house to play multiplayers these days. So, online gaming has become the only way i get to play against other real people, and the PS2 really just doesn't have the online coolness that XB has. I've been rockin both SOCOMs for a while now, and i'd really enjoy being able to play more similar games that support ingame chat.

Plus, i really don't get into most RPGs, and it seems like most PS2 online games are heading in that direction (except for the EA sports titles).

Oh, well... maybe with the recent price drop i will finally take the plunge....

i'll bet Uncle Jesse's cryin for more than mercy, now that he's not gonna have his (soon-to-be-ex-) wife's sweet sweet turdcutter around the house anymore!!!
