Need an opinion on an Xbox lot i'm putting up for sale on eBay.

CAGiversary!
i'm selling 12 games, a guide, a controller, a demo disc, and a halo 2 sticker :)

i'm gonna start the auction at a penny and let it go from there. i was thinking of setting the reserve price at $99, with a "buy it now" option for $150. does this seem reasonable? everything is in mint condition. here is the game list:

1. Halo: Combat Evolved
2. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
3. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - (Gold) Game of the Year Edition
4. ESPN NBA 2K5
5. Top Spin
6. Counterstrike
7. Crimson Skies
8. Star Wars: The Clone Wars
9. Tetris Worlds
10. Fuzion Frenzy
11. Sega GT 2002
12. Jet Set Radio Future

oh the controller is microcon and the guide is for morrowind gold. just want an opinion before my auction goes live sunday nite. thanks!

What's the * for?

Halo? Crimson Skies? KOTOR? Morrowind? That's a hell of a deal for $150. I say go for it, and I hope you get it sold.

oh sorry, the * was part of my explanation on my auction, i just cut and pasted it here. it is to show that game is compatible on xbox live....irrelelvant to the topic.

anyways....i'm glad to hear this from a couple people. maybe i should bump the "reserve/buy it now" prices to $150/$200 respectively?

The BIN should be higher, set it at 200. Put the reserve at 125. You should land somewhere between there and 200.

ok cool. thanks for the help guys. i'll prolly post the auction URL here for fun after it goes up in a few days. in case anyone is interested.

Does that include the Xbox system???!?! People are paying up to $140 shipped for the system alone. You can get $200-$300 for all of that.

I know its tough to read the entire OP and all.

controller - (assuming first party S) - $20
1. Halo: Combat Evolved - $15
2. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - $15
3. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - (Gold) Game of the Year Edition - $15
4. ESPN NBA 2K5 - $15
5. Top Spin - $15
6. Counterstrike - $10
7. Crimson Skies - $10
8. Star Wars: The Clone Wars - $2
9. Tetris Worlds - $2
10. Fuzion Frenzy - $5
11. Sega GT 2002 - $3
12. Jet Set Radio Future - $4

Grand total: $131. I'd say you should feel great if you get $150.

oh, i do have a dumb question. do i get charged any fee if this does not sell? if my reserve price isn't met and i relist it again?

cause if not, then i don't mind asking for a higher number and seeing what happens. then if it doesn't work, i'll knock that price way down and go for round 2.

You're still charged the Listing Fee, but there's no Final Value Fee charged.

I can't see you getting $200 for this, but someone might go for that as a BIN.

I think you'd be lucky to have this bid up to $150, but I've been wrong before.

You will get charged a listing fee as stated above, and you will be charged a second listing fee if you list it again (within a certian time period) if it does not sell the first time, BUT if it sells the second time, you will get your listing fee credited back with some restrictions. Here is the text from ebay :

Ebay Relist Link

Normally, Insertion Fees are non-refundable. However, if your listing ends without a winning buyer or results in an Unpaid Item (UPI), you may qualify for a credit by relisting the item. If the item sells the second time, eBay will refund the Insertion Fee for the relisting.

To relist an item, sign in to eBay, go to the item page for the ended listing, and click on "relist your item". You can also go to other places, such as the Unsold Items view of My eBay, and click on the "Relist" link for the item.

Note: You must use the official Relist feature in order to receive the Insertion Fee credit. Merely copying and pasting the content of the original listing into a brand new listing, for example, will not enable eBay to track that you are relisting the item and will prevent you from receiving the credit.

You never have to send a request to receive an Insertion Fee credit. Our system will automatically issue the credit to your account as long as your listing meets the requirements below. Once your item sells, the credit will be posted to your account.

General requirements for the credit

  • You must relist the item within 90 days of the closing date of the original listing.

Only the first relisting of an item is eligible. Subsequent relistings of the same item do not qualify.
Both the original listing and the relisting must be in Online Auction or Fixed Price format (not Store Inventory format or Real Estate Advertisement).

Both the original listing and the relisting must be single-quantity (not Multiple Item or "Dutch").

The starting price you set for the relisted item must not be greater than that of the original listing.

The relisted item must not have a reserve price if the original listing didn't have one. If it did, the reserve price you set for the relisted item must not be greater than that of the original listing.

The relisted item must end with a winning buyer. If the item doesn't sell the second time, the Insertion Fee is not refunded.

Qualifying Unpaid Items that are relisted and close successfully will receive a standard relist credit automatically if the item is relisted and sells.

Read more on the Unpaid Item Process.
