Yeah, it's not an awesome list...but I figured there had to be a few closeted High School Musical/Katy Perry/Coldplay fans on CAG, so I posted the deal.

If you get only one album on the list, get Fleet Foxes. That is my favorite for 2008...just awesome. Too bad it doesn't include the "Sun Giant" EP like the vinyl did, but still...get it for 5 bucks.

I love HSM!!!! What's his name is ssssoooooo dreamy!!!

It turns out I might already have most of the songs from random things, so any suggestions are nice.

Some solid albums on that list. I love when Amazon sells their albums for $5. So much better than itunes and DRM free.

The Beck, REM, and Death Cab for Cutie albums are really good if you're a fan of their previous stuff.

The She & Him, Cut/Copy, and Santogold discs are easily some of my favorite "big releases" of the year, as well. I've also seen all 3 of them live in the last 12 months, now that I think of it.

if you like lying in bed crying. which i do. ;)

I picked She & Him Volume 1 last night, listened to it today while at work and wow was that worth it. I'm tempted to pick up a few more albums from that list and I already own a few others. Overall I'd say Amazon has made a great list.

Thanks OP for the heads up on the other albums!

Santogold is a good one. She got ROBBED with the Grammy noms. This must be "suck Coldplay's dick and make them a sandwich" year.

Heh...hysterical, and completely accurate. :applause:

I totally don't see the appeal of Coldplay. Viva La Vida keeps popping up on different "ten best" lists and I'm appalled.

good looking out OP, picked up Q-Tip's "The Renaissance". Great hip hop album if you like the likes of Perceptionists, Dead Prez, Mos Def, Automato, and other great true hip hop artists. Some other interesting albums in there too, almost bought Calexico's "Carried to Dust".
