Anyone try this 3 IN 1 Wireless Remote Controller Keyboard for PS3?

CAGiversary!
Saw a post on Engadget on this:

This thing looks pretty cool.. I need to by a PS3 remote anyways, as I'm fed up using the DS3 for a bluray remote. :p

I'm tempted to get it for $28 - but shipping will probably be expensive.

This ebay listing has more pics & looks like it's wireless via charging stand, so probably not bluetooth for the price.

this looks cool! my only problem would be the trigger buttons. it does seem smaller in the video than the pictures. in the pics it looks like a beast. so ya I want a bluray remote and this would be cool, so I will keep an eye out on price and maybe some reviews.

the keyboard looks too small to be very useful. They should have just stuck with 2 in 1 (keyboard/remote)

Too bad Play Asia doesn't carry this.. I'd be more inclined to buy from them since I've ordered from them before :)

pretty cool lookin. Should be a 2 in 1 yes, just the bluray and keyboard, IMO. I got small hands but doesn't look comfortable for a long stretch of goming at all

I got this in today finally!
Not bad for the price, the remote part works good and the keyboard is a nice feature, takes a while to get used to. Works good in PlayStation Home.

Can it function as a decent controller for smaller PSN Games? If it works as a 3rd controller decently then its worth it for me.

Sinistar, i'm also curious how this handles as a controller. Oh read the reviews on that superufo site you link to in the OP. They are freakin hilarious!

Well I haven't played with it too much as a controller, I might try some more tonight on Saint's Row 2 or Resistance 2, and see how well it works.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't have motion controls so you can't use it for games like High Velocity Bowling.

I was thinking games like PJE, Comet Crash, Worms, 3on3 NHL, Bionic Commando, Calling All Cars, basically PSN games. Your firsthand impressions would be appreciated, since this device is worth it to me if it's up to the task.

As for disc games how do you think it would do for sports games?

Well Saints Row 2 was playable with it.. but since it's a heavy action game, after a while my hands started to hurt because it's not very ergonomic.. kinda like a PSP. :p

I diidn't try PJE yet, but it worked pretty well in BCR.

The other night in Home, though, it was kinda laggy when everye was on there, and it felt like the controller disconnected (thought the lights were still on and everything).

I would not use it as a main controller, unless it's for simple arcade games.
I mainly bought it because I did not have a PS3 remote and I wanted to use the keyboard device as well.

For the price I paid I feel it was worth it.

Thanks a lot dude. Much appreciated. I will look to pick one up mainly for the remote/keyboard functions, but being usable as a 3rd controller pushes it over the edge into buy territory.

Last question, can you turn the PS3 on with the remote/controller?

Does not look like you can turn on the system with the remote. I usually turn on the system with my regular controller, but switch over. But I notice if I leave the USB connector in for it, it will always assign the remote to controller 1, then you have to mess with controller settings if you want to use regular dualshock to play games.
