unreal tournament 2004

i thought half-life 2 was pretty amazing. I also thought Doom 3 was quite good (despite the lower rankings)

I got the far cry demo,, but never got into it, and same with unreal.

2004 is when i got back into PC gaming... so anyother good ones out there ?
 
you may wanjt to change the title to best PC fps cause some guy will come in says:

this game is a bit old but I find it VERY fun... its called tactical ops

the muiltiplayer is awesome and then they also have "fun" maps where you fall thru various levels and if you make it to the bottom you fight.

Its sorta like unreal tournament mixed with CS

you should also try out frag. ops for ut 2004

Far Cry was fun but not great, Doom 3 wasn't that great, UT was great, and I haven't gotten a chance to play HL2 yet.

I really want to though, but I voted UT.

Didn't play UT2004.......Not really my kind of game........

Doom 3.

Far Cry just wasn't really my thing, I found it kinda boring. UT2004 is a really good game, but just not... "Special" I guess. Half-Life 2 I refuse to buy because I don't want to support Valve or Steam, but judging from the demo (I spent a few hours downloading the bloated 700 meg demo, which then installs to take up 3 GIGS of space, and forces me to download a patch over the slow as molasses Steam for an hour. God I hate Steam) it's pretty good.

Doom 3 though, I really liked. Nice mix of run and gun and storytelling, and the whole atmosphere of it was enjoyable. Sure, it's lots of corridors, but you're on a base on Mars, things should be kinda cramped.

I might've liked Half-Life 2 better if I played through the whole thing, but if Valve is going to force Steam on people then they're not going to get my money.
