Thanks, I had fun with the DS version of Mystery Case Files. Quite a long game, much longer than what I expected.
 
Thanks for the heads up! I was just thinking of picking up the DS version of Mystery Case Files, and this seems like a great way to find out if I like the style.
 
I just got this email from Borders (and in their local store too). Seems to be some type of promotion. Way cool. My wife loves MCF as well :) Going to install it for her and surprise her when she gets home.

Did anyone manage to get 4 out of those last 5 games you listed for free? I only registered my email once - but somehow Atlantis, Fairies, Word Search, and Wordslots all got activated on my account!

Atlantis was fully active upon installation as was Word Search - I had to use the coupon code on Wordslots and Fairies - weird - but all in all I have 6 free games thanks to you so MUCHAS GRACIAS!
 
Nice deal. We have had the Mac version of Fairies for a couple of years, and it is a really fun variation on the classic match 3 or more style game. U match jars of fairies by dragging the rows of jars on the horizontal and vertical axis, making sure like colored jars match along their sides (not just in lines). The art and music are charming and well designed, even though many have criticized the use of clip art fairies. Big Fish carries a lot of the PlayFirst games too, and I have found that I usually buy most of our casual games there.

For the coupon I can recommend Subway Scramble (I wish this would hit the DS) and Plantasia by PlayFirst (the Diner Dash devs), Garden Dreams, Fizzball, and Teddy Factory. One of my kids likes the Virtual Villagers games, but they are a little too hard IMHO--a very rigid event progression system, where if u do the wrong thing, the whole tribe is doomed.

Check the OP on how to redeem. I just completed the process to get the the two original games as well as the 2 of choice and had no request for payment.

Make sure you deselect "Send me a backup Disc"
 
did slot words come up for free - before coupon - for anyone besides me? im about to play and verify that it's not a demo before i spend the as of now unused code on something else.

this has the possibility to be a 5 free games ordeal!

I got total of 6 games for free - slot words came up for free before coupon and Atlantis came up free and activated without having to go through the buy now process at all - so very good deal for me!

Slot words came up free without a code but Atlantis did not for me.

Thanks OP, I had gotten the Borders offer on my receipts before and kept forgetting to get them. 5 free games is great.

Yeah, that's weird.

Here's the order I did it:

1. Signed up for Borders and then followed the instructions for that.

2. Then I signed up for the Vivatem thing and then I followed the instructions for that.


Now the instructions for the second offer are different than for the first.

The first asks you to purchase the game on the website using the code, the second offer asks you to download the game first (usually 1 hour demo) and then click "buy now" in your game manager and then use the code. I thought it was weird but I downloaded Atlantis - installed - and then couldn't find the "Buy Now" button - I opened the game, played it, looked in the menu, etc - somehow when I downloaded and installed Atlantis it activated the full version. After that I went for Fairies with the code - slotwords showed up as 0.00 with no code, and then I got the cross words game.

Maybe someone else can slip through too - let me know if you need more details.
 
Yay, free 6 worked for me. I followed the instructions for the first 2, then for the verbatim ones I dled and used the coupon on word search deluxe, dled slotwords, it was the demo, so I dled atlantis and it activated without doing anything, dled fairies and it was the demo, then I did buy now for slotwords and it came up free in the cart without the coupon, submitted and activated that, and then used the coupon on fairies.

So slotwords might just come up for $0 for everybody anyway, but try dling atlantis to see if it activates.
