MX700 vs. MX1000

At my local EBgames I saw the MX700 mouse new for 49.99, and on Newegg.com Stealthy showed me that the MX1000 is 62.99.

How much better is the MX1000 over the 700? Is it worth the extra twelve bucks? Will I notice a difference over the standard corded ball mouse that came with my gateway?
