Question about Battle Stadium D.O.N

I had my Wii soft moded today in preparation for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom coming later this week and to make sure it worked, I popped in this import that I picked up at a pawn a few months back ($8, complete). The game is actually good from what I played, I have Jump Ultimate Stars and it plays like the mid point of Smash Bros. and Ultimate Stars. Anyways, I'm wondering if anyone has this game and can tell me more about how to play effectively. Is there a sequel to it? I beat the game on normal with Gouko(?, the DBZ guy) and didn't really do much but fly around throwing fireballs so I am wondering if the game is any deeper than that.
