I can't believe I missed Medieval II and an expansion, or maybe Rome turned me off enough to want to wait. For these prices I'm in.

Kings Bounty looks interesting but I'm gonna have to wait for now.

This is a dumb question, and probably has been answered numerous times, but will the ones that are import version affect anything in terms of being able to run them and validate the activation keys?

You've got to be kidding me. I just bought an Arctosa for 50, that's a bummer.

For anyone on the fence about buying one it's excellent for budget gaming. Extremely responsive, just don't eat within 100 foot radius of the keys. The gaps between them look like death traps for food. Oh and the media keys are a little weird, they click.

not quite sure for the other games but all these should be standalone, and work fine.

I know supcom will be fine.

I want to get supcom.... another title in case of ... well another person want's to play with me.
King's Bounty is really fun if you enjoyed Heroes of Might and Magic type of games.
agreed, i dumped a ton of hours into it, arguably more fun than any of the homm games

Wow, this is one of gogamer's better sales in a while for me. Several things that I'd bite on if I weren't totally swamped in cheap games due to Steam and Impulse. I mean, in the past month, I must have bought about 10 computer games (and that doesn't count console games).

I am really tempted by that low price on King's Bounty. I remember the original with fondness and the demo was pretty good. Also the Sherlock Holmes trilogy, mostly because who doesn't love a little Chthulu?

Is the Medieval II: Total War expansion worth the $5?

What is in the expansion?

I am very tempted to buy it.

EDIT: Ordered it, very good deal.
I'm thinking hard about King's Bounty. The Totally Rad Show guys gave it a pretty good recommendation.
I trust Jeff but when they threw that box art on up on the screen I said, "That's got to be the gayest looking game I've ever seen." Dan looked like he couldn't wait for the segment to be over. I got the feeling it wasn't exactly a democratic decision to cover King's Bounty. As for the in-game footage, I love how everyone copies WoW's color palette now. Hey, it's Medieval Candyland!
SupCom is a man's man's RTS game :D
I got SupCom at target for 7.50 awhile back and dear god is that game scary. I opened up the manual and saw the tech tree then quickly threw the game into my "to Play" pile and went back to pokemon.

I'll get around to it eventually.

Supcom's pretty damn good, though unfortunately the Forged Alliance expansion improves the game a pretty good amount, so base supcom isn't really supcom at its best. Still well worth buying if you like RTS. Also, the Sorian AI mod makes the game much more fun to play in skirmishes.

Think I'll finally break down and buy Medieval 2. Wasn't wild on picking up Medieval 2 since I prefer Romans and Rome Total War, but for this cheap, eh. I'll skip the expansion though. New campaigns are nice, but all I really want from an expansion is additions to the base game. Viking Invasion for Medieval 1 had them, but I didn't buy Barbarian Invasion for Rome because it didn't.

its a great price for supcom, i bought it quite some time ago off D2D. I'd buy the expansion, which as stated improves things quite a bit, but im hanging on until both are released on Steam. Bit miffed as to why it hasnt happened yet.

One warning though, SupCom is a very system demanding game. If you dont have something reasonably bulky and recent in the processor and memory department be prepaired to play through MASSIVE performance slow downs as games progress.

Things may of improved in patches but back when i was playing doing a game with more than 3-4 players was impossible due to this. It was incredible how slow the game got. That was on a 2.2Ghz C2D proc 2Gig mem and an 8800GTX (though the performance issues were totally unrelated to the graphics card).

Yeah, It definitely wasn't as commonly acclaimed as puzzle quest, but i think ill give the demo a try this weekend and maybe pick it up.

King's Bounty: The Legend was outstanding, one of the best games of 2008. Definitely wasn't expecting to see a sequel to the 1990 original (then again, they did already do a remake on PS2, although it wasn't called King's Bounty).

SupCom looks to be out of stock. Both it and Forged Alliance are available on GameTap, FYI, including multiplayer codes to be able to play online.

SupCom didn't work for me. It's just like Chris Taylor's Dungeon Siege. His games are too automated. Those first few levels you click a bunch of stuff and are sitting around waiting for it to build. Then when you want to attack you pretty much tell your guys to drive around a certain area to get them to shoot at the enemy. Meh.

Medieval II. It has its problems but I spent probably 50+ hours with it. The world map plays out like a weak Civilization but it is sufficient. The game really holds its own with the real time element. Love those battles. Mortar guns. Calvary rushes. Camel archers. It can be slow but turns out to be very satisfying. I never played the expansion but I believe it opens up the new world to exploitation (Only the exterior tiny islands are available in original game). It also sets up separate campaigns such as an English/Scottish campaign where it zooms in on the UK territories instead of the whole world. I was interested in that.

Is there any reason not to get the imported Supreme Commander? I FINALLY have a new computer that I'd think would run it...

I don't think it has activation, though I don't know if it would work with U.S. patches or the U.S. expansion pack (assuming I like the game)?

Well, never mind. Supreme Commander is sold out (guess that shouldn't be a surprise!)

That Medieval II sounds interesting. I've somehow never really followed those games, but it got 90% from PC Gamer, so there must be something great about it!
