EDIT: Thanks for the feedback CAGs! Might have to bite myself for the future. And I am sure you can find the 2000/3000 backplates on eBay.

Unless things have changed, gamefunk is very legit. Ive seen it used before, and I'm sure if we searched we get some stuff referring to it being safe.

I'd make sure they're legit first. I was the unfortunate idiot who bought 2 PSP batteries on eBay.. One runs out in ~2 hours and the other exploded in my PSP, luckily I had the battery cover off and my PSP was ok

Checked some reviews, and they're all positive.

I ordered 2 batteries (1 in each order) over the last 3 weeks from them was nervous to order at first but shipping was prompt I had no issues what so ever so I decided to buy the second battery. I did pay with paypal just becasue I did not want to give them my credit card. But overall they did a great job.

they are being nominated by people in the cheapy awards so i would assume they are not a rip off. check the cheapy award nominations for independent retailer online or something like that.

I don't trust it seeing as it comes from Hong Kong.

well thats from hong kong, almost certain its a bootleg. would not buy that under any circumstance, those batteries are always weaker than they say they are, and pose a danger to you, your psp and your charger.

as a side note, thanks for the gamefunk deal, in for 1, i purchased stuff from them before, definitely a great site and great deals. i bought a ps3 BR remote from them (for 15 bucks) and a friend of mine bought a 60gb ps3 from them (i believe 300?) both we marked used but arrived in new condition, ps3 even had box etc.

i hope so, cause one important indication of bootleg is that it is not compatible with psp slim.
real stamina pack have a bundle that comes with a lid for use with slim, which means genuine battery works for psp slim(not sure if it works with 3000 models).

That's not entirely true the original versions of the stamina did not come with the extra lid these are the originals later versions did however.

legit battery. legit store. then again, I may be biased :)

BTW, we just launched our new site and I built a customer survey to help us get feedback. It's limited to 200 people, and every survey taker gets a "15% off all games" coupon code so PM me if you're interested in taking it. I've reserved some slots for CAGers as you're a pretty important market.

I have an original PSP does this work with that? The very original with the 1.5 on it. I never played with my PSP much until recently, and now could use a new bigger battery/

maybe i misinterpret myself, i did say that real genuine stamina pack HAVE a bundle with lid, not that they only comes in a bundle with lid.

So just to triple-check, these are good with the Slims (2000s), right? The only downside is that I'd have to buy a new case, because mine is super-slim and just barely fits the PSP as-is.

These batteries are meant to be used on the Regular (Fat) PSP models, but are compatible with the 2000 (slim) models as well.

You will need a different casing, like the one linked by Rocko above, for the battery to fit on the Slim model, do.

I have not personally tested these batteries on the new 3000 models, maybe another board member can confirm.

All orders will ship in the next 48 hours!. 8-)
