If you want to use your CAG username in the game that's cool, but if not just say who you are when you log in. I suggest you load some good music on Winamp or WMP first, then configure your keys (grenades and reloading are important). Then join up!

I'm at work now, but I just got the hankering to play Soldat. It's freeware (the original cheapass game) and its pretty fun. I'll be playing tonight when I get in, but I was wondering if there was any interest in starting up a CAG clan?
 
Soldat is freaking awesome. I know they're charging now though, which sucks.

If you guys want to start a clan, i'm all for it. I LOVE this game.

For those who haven't played, Soldat is more or less a side scrolling team fortress. It's got mostly TFC weapons (chainguns, sniperrifles, etc) but also some ones from Counter-Strike (automatics like the Steyr Aug or AK47). There are also grenades. It's one of the most fun games on the internet. I'm all for a CAG clan.

they arent charging to play. if wanna be registered to get new clothes its 8 bucks
 
Scorch, you just completely made my heart jump. Unless I'm not seeing something, I think they're only charging to Register it (basically just letting you change the color of your rocketshoe smoke, and letting you play mp3s, but you can do that anyway with WMP or winamp). The freeware version is pretty much complete.

The "new" version that they released a few months ago is nice, with bullet time kills and a nice new advance mode. I'd like to get at least 8 people to practice with DMs, then maybe CTF's and stuff with eachother or maybe on other servers.

It's cool because for such a simple looking game, there's a surprising amount of skill that goes into it. There's varied playing styles that people use, and I always learn a thing or two each time I play.

I know they're not charging to play. There's certain features that are unlocked if you pay, though. It's just a matter of time before they charge to play.

But yeah, let's get this ball rolling!
 
So I just went and downloaded the game. Fun and entertaining. Very cool. I can easily recommend it as a fast and fun easy FREE game that should would on just about any computer. Pretty neat. Since I am a big CS player I am not sure I will get into it as much as I should. I spend most of my game playing time honing my CS skillz for my clan PuNx... http://www.punxclan.com (shameless plug). We have our own server and the clan is starting to get some serious pwnage.

wow ur in punx ? i used to go into that server all the time.
 
PuNx is my server....I own it. The clan is democratic and we have no leader but the server and site are mine. There was 3 founding members about 1 1/2 years ago..maybe 2 now. We all still play and the clan has 11 strong ADULT players...we don't allow anyone under 18. The server is currenlty Condition Zero but I will be going CSS soon as I move to Vegas.

Do you have internet checked at the bottom instead of Local?

Do you have your port as: 23073 (the default)?

I relisted the surver publicly, so just click internet and filter for Deathmatches, or type in CAG

It should be

No, not some weeny home connection, a real co-located one.
