Too bad for me I signed up right around the time it opened, so I didn't know about the CAG-UK code :(

Hey everyone!

This is Mark Nebesky (aka Blackcoyote) from Goozex.com (US/Canada). You may know me from other hit CAG forum threads as PS3 Monkey Battles, A Lizard Ate My Dingo, and the sequel John Cleese At My Cheese.

**dodging the rotten fruit being thrown at me**

I'm here to remind you all that Goozex has landed in Europe. I'll quickly explain the concept of Goozex and then I'll sit back and try to help answer any questions. Btw, this post has been CheapyD approved to exist.

The idea of Goozex was born from the poor trade-in values you get at your regular used game shops. We figured the best way to save money and get the most value out of your game is to skip the middleman and trade directly with another gamer who wants your game. That's the basic principle behind Goozex.

In Europe, we are connecting gamers to trade between themselves to earn Goozex Points, which they can use to get other games for only 1 Euro (blasted American keyboard doesn't have Euro symbol).

So here is how it works:
1. New member joins
2. Adds games they own and are willing to trade to earn Goozex Points (Offer Queue)
3. Adds games they want (Request Queue)
4. The Goozex system automatically makes a match for the user
5. Member agrees to send a game, and ships directly to the other user – seller receives Goozex Points
6. The Goozex system automatically matches the member with a seller who agrees to send the game originally requested. Buyer receives game in the mail
The Goozex system is designed to be the best hassle-free game trading service.

I've talked to the Goozex EU team and we will accept previous sign-ups to Goozex. To be counted in the random drawing you will need to post here that you've already signed up and what your Goozex.eu nickname is.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and hope the jokes weren't too lame.

Mark

Thanks to CheapyD for letting us post here and run this promo!

Sure -- you're now counted. Have you been able to start game trading on Goozex?

Thanks!

I've yet to send any out but I have received a game. Don't have that much of a collection right now which is the problem, but definitely a way to get rid of my games in the near future.

awesome customer care, dudes

please let me in too - i signed up as "babaz"

i've already received 2 games, bought up points a trade credits and just shipped out my first game (left 4 Dead yoohohhho!)

Count me in, my Goozex.eu nick is ols360 :bouncy:

You know, looking over the Goozex, I can't help but admire what a well designed well thought out site it is.

I reckon I'll still be chucking a fair few games on eBay, but this makes a nice alternative.

edit: :( Found something that annoys me. I can only send out 2 games at a time = lame.

After you gain positive feedback the number of simultaneous trades goes up.

I know, I just feel you should be able to send out as many games as you want. 'Cause as it is, I'm going to have to wait until I'm able to send out a 3rd game before I get what I want

As I migrant from the regular Goozex (though I created a new account since it seems impossible to switch), I really hope activity continues to pick up at the new EU site. I also need some more PAL titles...

For the contest, I just registered as al447.

yes, goozex.eu definitely needs more momentum (and better points values for games... unfair trades simply won't occur!)

They did this to prevent people from listing up a dozen or so 1000 point titles. Taking the points and requesting a bunch of games and then just waiting to recieve the games and never sending the ones they offered.
You don't get the points until the recipient confirms they've received the games.
Which was another feature added to combat that. After two positive trades you receive your points immediately. The sending limits help mitigate the damage that can be done by people once they recieve points immediately. Back in the early days of normal goozex it was a widespread problem and steps had to be taken to combat it. It's unfortunate. When I started everyone got points right away.

Thanks for giving us a chance at this contest! Now I just need to keep my fingers crossed for the rest of the month...

Thanks Magiic for the support!

Regarding game prices -- please make a post on the Goozex.eu forums. The team there will try to address those asap. There are, of course, certain games that fall outside of our pricing system like a few rare titles and big bundle games like Rock Band.

Please feel free to ask any questions here and I'll try to give the best help.

Gotcha.

I guess not all users are as honest and, let's be honest, lovable as me. O:)
