I have a feeling this'll have lots of bids.

I want a JVC X'Eye (looks so cool) but I'll probably settle for the CDX instead. See I want 32X compatibility... but I'll have to save up some money for these systems cuz I'm broke as hell right now hehe.

It's not a Sega CD. It's a Sega CDX. It's a special all-in-one model. Quantities produced were limited... it didn't take off too well. But it's awesome!

That is pretty bad ass. I'd heard of the CDX on here in different posts, but don't think I'd seen a picture of one until checking that auction.

That'll probably go for at least $150. I got $100 for both Lunars for the Sega CD when I auctioned them off four years ago.
You can hook a 32x up to a JVC X'eye.
I'm not 100% up to date on my obscure Sega 16-bit hardware, but how do you know? Have you done it yourself?

Yes i have as i currently own an X'Eye and a 32x. Its just a bit of a pain thats all. When you want to play a Sega Cd game you have to take the 32x off of the top of the X'Eye since it covers the cd rom lid.

I snatched a CDX from my flea market for 25, it isnt in the box, but looks like new. A year ago I saw an actual X'eye at a pawn shop, but I didnt know what it was at the time. I shall now kick myself at this time for not getting it

CDX's have dropped so much in value over the last couple of years...They used to go for near $200 w/o box on Ebay.

I thought 32X compatibility was originally planned but was scrapped. And IIRC you don't want to hook up your 32X to your CDX or it will cause some problems.

Funny, the Genny 1 with flip open CD that I got for $20 at a rummage sale (with a 32X) works just as well . . .

The guy really should have sold the unit and the games separately . . . likely would have made more.

Actually, just about all of the Genesis/Sega CD/32x stuff has really bottomed out price wise in recent years. I wonder if the current generation systems/games will be this cheap in 5-10 years.

The CDX is NOT compatible with the 32X...I know for sure.

The JVC Xeye might work. The problem is the 32X needed these metal strips to prevent interference in the unit with the other components. The CDX is too small to have the distance but the JVC might.

BTW- I have an xeye for myself..they are great.
