It's a GameStop exclusive, apparently.

As much as I like Art books, There's no way I am going to give my money to GameStop. I will wait for amazon, with or without the art book. Gold Box + ECA Discount + no tax + Prime Shipping = Win.

Wait, I have the Japanese version on order from Play-Asia. This is coming out stateside at the same time as the Japanese release? Amazon doesn't have it listed at all.

Yes.

Yeah amazon doesnt even have it listed. I hope this artbook doesnt disappoint. Hopefully we'll see a pic of it eventually.

Any good coupons for shipping or anything? I tried to use a couple but its saying they are invalid.

If you're waiting for amazon to listed the regular edition then that's fine. If you're waiting for them to list the premium edition... you're never gonna see it.

To get free super saver shipping, type in code: SAVER
Play-Asia order canceled. Damn it, I hate spending money at Gamestop but I'd prefer to have the single player campaign in English.
It's okay, at least you get a 32-page artbook with a nice cover. ;)

Apparently u can't use 10.00 promo codes on preorders... grrrr. Oh well, I couldn't resist a new game from the GG crew.

Calling this a "premium edition" is a pretty significant overstatement. It's just the regular edition with a bonus 32 page art book. Given the crappy quality of some of the previous art books I have received from Gamestop (MGS4 comes to mind), I think I will pass.

if i pre-order online with in-store pick up will they still ship me the artbook??

nvm ships with game...

hmmm if you look close at the cover it says limited edition on the bottom. So the artbook is probably the same size as the dvd case. I've never preordered anything online from GS before, is there a way to change the shipping address for the order after it is placed?

Is it now? Artbook's the pre-order bonus, not something that comes with the Premium.

Which means when you go to pick it up, the employee will tell you they don't have any. Because they took them all and sold them on eBay.
Damn my like of IRC knowledge!
?

It says it right there on the page that the artbook's just the pre-order bonus, lol.

they pulled the same crap with me when buying valkyria chronicles. I only managed to get the art book via a friend weeks later. they really suck..
Anyone know if anything else is going to come in the premium edition? I'm guessing its not just the artbook.
The artbook's the pre-order bonus, they haven't listed the PE stuff yet.
As cool as this is, Im betting this game will drop hella fast in price

Needless to say im still getting it.
Funny. I said the same thing about Marvel vs Capcom 2 for the ps2. Good thing I got it day one instead of waiting. :)

There's a possibility that BlazBlue could become just as rare.

MVC2 was a rare occurence. I mean honestly, NO ONE thought it would be, cuz no one knew the shipment amounts or the fact the whole cancellation thingy or whatever it was that went on was going to happen.

Plus in this day and age, how many rare titles are there for the next gen systems?

I'm thinking we can expect the same kind of art books that came with the Dead Space and Resistance 2 limited sets. Is this the same book company that made those?

We still have no idea what comes with the Premium Pack. $49.99 for the regular edition sounds better thus far.
$59.99 is crazy for a 2D fighting game. I will only pay 59.99 for Namco fighters...
The production values of this game more than justify the price.

I don't know. But I'm having a tough time tracking down Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War. I don't think I've seen any sales for it either. It might just be rare in my location.

That's rather narrow minded, isn't it? Just because it's a 2D fighter doesn't mean it should be cheaper.

Not worth it imo. I can almost always buy a game a week after release for ~$40. Maybe if this was available online at amazon with the 10% off ECA coupon I would've gotten it.

I just spent some time on the Aksys forums and it looks like they are working to make the premium edition available at both Amazon and Gamecrazy. The art book may be a Gamestop exclusive, but they would like for them to make them available in store as well and suggested that fans contact Gamestop to make that happen.

do they mention what the Premium Edition comes with?

should I order it now or wait till after it releases to get it used or perhaps cheaper? personally, I dont think that many people are gonna buy the game as i dont think many people know what the game is (Not saying u dont). this may mean longer time till used copies show up, but who knows. does the game have online?

Here is what one of the guys from Aksys said about online.

http://forums.shoryuken.com/showpost.php?p=6540209&postcount=5764
so far as it stands, the only true comparison BB actual netcode, after playing it couple times, it feels like HDR and the only reason I use hyper fighting as a starting point is for that fact, I don't want everyone to have this awesome expectation for something that no game's netcode can really matchup. So I rather set a precedence of low expectations and I figured it might as well start by saying Hyper Fighting since that netcode was garbbage compare to just about any online game I've played, maybe even worst than GG #R, who knows. But if that's what you guys really wanted to hear, its very similar to HDR.

Netcode testing is done US vs Japan for almost a full month. There were times, lag was a bit rough but there times lag was almost not there. There is no input lag if you guys were wondering...

the match making system is awesome. I can honestly say, BB online model is far superior compare to SF4. Though might be a bold statement, But here's a quick breakdown:

Here's one scenario that should give you an idea.

I log onto XB Live, Play BB, go on network mode. I look for a rank match, but before that I wanna see among my friends who's in the top. From there, I can see some replays of my friends matches that they uploaded and see how they are doing. It'll even show you who they last played based on the icon next to their name. Next, I get bored watching my friends bullshit replays so I wanna see the top of the top, so I browse on the monthly leaderboard, I can now see who's at the top and check out his best replays and realize how sucky or how much better I am...So I get pumped up and I noticed some of my friends are online as well. So I start a lobby and start dictating the amount of slots I want for players and spectators. From there, I invite all my friends and we all say wassup and proceed to kick each others ass. We can save replays, spectate, and talk as much trash as we want. But wait, I got a homie that just signed on, sends me a msg, talking shit about my match!

But when I look at my lobby he ain't there!

How that works is my boy is searching for rooms to join but before joining, a player can see what's going on in each room, including icons that display who's currently fighting in the current match, who's winning the match, connection speed of the room, and who's in the lobby.

And there is still various other options and setups.. but that's just one example from player match...I hope that gave you an idea on what is to come.

And yes, this is for PS3 as well. So no haters please....

Now, hook up some rep points!
This is being released a week apart from KoF...sad.

Definitely going for this. I don't need two fighting games so close to eachother :p

Battle Fantasia sold like crap. Not to say Blaz Blue will do the same, but chances are the demand for this game outside of the fighting fan base won't be larger. So yeah, pre-order the Premium Edition if you can because I doubt they will be making a lot of copies. I plan on selling the pre-order bonus if they get at insane levels on fleabay to pay for the game itself. I got gaming debt to pay.
