Figured I'd post this since it was just announced today. This gives everybody an opportunity to get ready for another Pepsi promotion!

The website is www.pepsirockband.com. Read the press release for more information!

The official press release:

New York, NY - Today, MTV and MTV Games, a part of Viacom's MTV Networks (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B) and Pepsi announced a multi-platform "Drink Up, Rock Out" promotion that will give away thousands of Rock Band DLC music tracks and games. Music lovers and gamers nationwide will be able to win prizes instantly and will have the opportunity to participate in the first-ever Pepsi Rock Band music video contest that will award one talented band a 2009 MTV Video Music Awards Moonman. The summer promotion begins June 2 and continues through the MTV Video Music Awards.

As part of the "Drink Up, Rock Out" promotion, fans who see a Rock Band icon on specially-marked packages of 20-ounce and 1-liter bottles of Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Pepsi Max and other Pepsi products are encouraged to look under the cap for a code and then go to www.PepsiRockBand.com to enter the code for a chance to win prizes. During the promotion, MTV and Pepsi will give away a Rock Band?2 Special Edition bundle every hour and thousands of Rock Band downloadable tracks each day. Additionally, fans can enter a weekly sweepstakes for opportunities to win a trip to a Harrah's Entertainment property, Xbox 360 Consoles and other great prizes.

"MTV's Rock Band has quickly established a new gaming platform that is extremely popular with music fans and gamers alike," said Ralph Santana, VP of cola marketing, Pepsi-Cola North America Beverages. "We're partnering with MTV to bring a new exciting twist to the game that will give one lucky band a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a taste of stardom."

Christina Glorioso, Vice President Marketing Partnerships for MTV Games added: "Pepsi is continuing their long standing tradition of being on the forefront of music with the decision to partner with Rock Band, the genre-defining music game platform that allows music fans and gamers to interact with and discover music like never before. This campaign has something for every Pepsi consumer from those that love to rock to the fans that love to cheer on their favorite bands."

And for those Rock Band groups who seek fame, Pepsi, Rock Band, and MTV are giving fans the opportunity to win a Moonman for the first time by entering their own Rock Band music video into the competition. Entrants can choose a song from the official competition list – available at www.RockBand.com/Pepsi and start making their Rock Band music video right now. Music video submissions can be uploaded to www.PepsiRockBand.com where bands and fans will be able to enter, view, rate and vote on their favorite Rock Band music videos. To jump start the promotion, MTV Games is giving hardcore fans, those that upload a music video on the first day of the promotion (June 2 before 6pm EDT), the opportunity to win a trip to Los Angles the very next day to be the house band at the Rock Band booth at E3. Fans must register separately on June 2 to be entered for the chance to win this prize at www.RockBand.com/Pepsi.

For a shot to win the Moonman, Pepsi Rock Band music video submissions will be accepted June 2 through July 28. Beginning August 8 – September 1, fans take the reins as they vote online and decide the fate of the winning Rock Band band. The winning band will travel to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, walk the red carpet, receive their very-own Moonman statue, and will be featured in a spot produced by MTV to air the night of the awards show.

Damn, I buy Pepsi, but I always typically buy 2-liters when doing my weekly grocery shopping.

same here, 2 liters are all I buy and I've tried to cut it down to 1 a day.
Any free way to enter like every other contest?
looks like you can only obtain a code, by sending in a SASE. Sucks. Cool contest though, will definitely look out for some codes, I would certainly enjoy a rockband bundle.
Anyone actually seen a "specially-marked" Pepsi yet?
I did yesterday and won a free code. Unfortunately, the code didn't work. I really was looking forward to playing Don't Stop Believing. I called the help number and they said they should contact me within a week. Ugh.

Not at all; nowhere in my area.

Hopefully I can find some people to trade pepsi codes for 2 coke codes each or something.

There are none of those caps around here either. >_< Probably going to need to trade come box things. -.- Is there a trade topic around here?

Just a word to the wise before trading, all of the caps have codes, but you then enter them on the website where you can enter to win the RB2 bundle or a song. You can easily make a trade and get nothing in return.

True, but the chances on the free-song half of the instant win game are pretty good, so it's worth it if you have Rock Band and need tracks. I'm still willing to trade multiple MCR caps per PEPSI rock band cap.

Since this has started, I've entered 7 codes, 4 of which were instant wins for Rock Band DLC

Haven't seen these near me yet either. I've got some 10-point Coke Rewards flaps that I'll trade for some Pepsi cap codes, if anyone is interested...

I'm somewhat surprised that there is no way to enter this contest for free (besides mailing away for an entry piece).... kinda disappointing.
The DLC requires you to actually CHOOSE a song now...waaah I wanted free points >_

I still can't find these anywhere.

I'll trade 15-point (18pk) coke code flaps for each PEPSI cap...

or 6 coke caps per PEPSI cap...

your choice
What songs can you pick from?
If you go on the site & click prizes you can see the list.

Its pretty much Almost every DLC song that has been released up until a week or two ago. I think the Alice Cooper pack might be the latest one available.

I won a free song. You can actually wait to pick the song later if you don't want to pick it up now. You just have to redeem it for a token before the end of the promotion.

gr8 tnx ..nice post bro gr88

YES! I have 5 coupons, each for a 12 pack of 20 oz bottles! I'll wait a couple weeks for the specially marked bottles.

I'm wiling to trade a 10pt flap + 15pt flap for each Pepsi Rock Band cap code.

As far as X-tras newsletters codes, I will trade for those if I can try them first, because many people's are getting invalid codes in their newsletter.

I guess I missed out on the newsletter and newsletter code? I did sign up but maybe I didn't get the newsletter. Hope they send out another one soon!

Alright, I finally spotted a RB cap in a 7-11, but it was a 1 liter bottle. Well, I was thirsty, so I plunked my $2 down and won on my first code! It's kind of a wash, but the way I see it, I just bought a RB song and got a free drink.
I got a code in my email newsletter and it worked fine. And I won a track! Picked "Dammit" by Blink 182.
good choice.... gotta love blink.

Nice, won on first try. Not sure what to pick, as I don't exactly remember what songs I have and don't have. D'oh!
