Someone REALLY wants Kristen Bell to play Harley Quinn in the new Batman movie.

For those unfamiliar with Kristen Bell.. she's the other hot chick in Forgetting Sarah Marshall (Sorry, Mila Kunis still reigns supreme), the hot chick from a few episodes of Heroes, and that hot chick from Veronica Mars.

Oh, right, pictures.

There's a guy out there named Josh McMahon doing photoshops of Kristen Bell dressed as Harley Quinn. Normally, I wouldn't even think of posting this - photoshops happen every day. However, the two pictures have been picking up steam, and MTV recently showed Bell the picture and wanted her reaction. She claims that she's wanted to play Harley Quinn since she was a little girl.

Here's the photoshopped pictures of Bell as Harley Quinn.

So, what do you think? Do you think she'd be good for the part? If not, who would you want to play Harley Quinn?

I find it hard to believe that she would dress up as Harley Quinn and dream of acting the part as a child.

She's hot, but I remember that character being really childish, so I'd like to see them find a teenager for the role.

I'm pretty sure the photos are 100% photoshopped, as there hasn't even been a script hammered out for the new Batman yet. Quinn's suit is wrong, too.. it should be black in the upper left, then switch over to black on the bottom right and the rest of the way down.

so the joker is going to be in the next one? huh thats weird eh i dont see kristen bell as harley. that blonde chick from heros would make a good one if she were younger actually they should use that chick from smallville chloe right size and age i just dont know if she could pull it off.

Tough to say then. I think those shops look terrible, so not a good representation of what she would look like in the part.

As for who I think would work... uh... Gwen Stefani?
She was a doctor, not exactly teenage.
Show's how much I paid attention to the show. I always liked the live action show more than the cartoon as a child. POW!
Any actress who is good at acting batshit crazy would work.
that chick who played fez's gf fr a while on that 70's show. she would be a great harley quinn.

Kinda like the mock-up. Like maybe the plot would be she's a Joker fan/stalker/copycat. The flipside of The Dark Knight's intro of a bunch of Batman copycats, where Batman thinks he rid the city of The Joker but only created a martyr out of him for the dregs of society to rally around. Bell would be a nice choice, if she was more like her character in Spartan than Heroes.

Team her up with Johnny Depp as the Riddler or Paul Giamatti as The Penguin. I think it would be cool for Catwoman to appear now, someone to kick Harley Quinn's ass. As long they don't pick Megan Fox or some shit like that to play her.

In that case, Sean Young has it locked up. Before Batman Returns she went on a talk show in a Catwoman suit trying to get the part and doesn't exactly have a history of balanced behavior.

Kristen Bell would actually be pretty good casting for the part.

i wish theyd do a movie with the ventriloquist i always liked him as a villan. thats the rub of alot of these films whether its batman or spiderman they always use the same damn villans which is a shame because each has a huge selection of villans to choose from.

Johnny Deep would make a very good villain as far as acting goes.

The only rumor that bothered me was that Chris Nolan might not direct this film because Ledgers death hit him pretty hard.

physically she could pull it off (any small hot chick could) but i don't think she's capable of being quirky enough. bell's hot, but not a very good actress..

i think zooey deschanel could handle the role but she's maybe too tall.. not sure why but i think harley should be more bell's height. ellen page height.

zooey could do it you just need to make sure whoever is the joker is tall enough. speaking of which joaquin phoenix for the joker or just let mark hamill do it his joker voice is the shit.

I guess it depends on what her definition of child is. Did a little research and it seems like she was already 12 when they first introduced the character.

thinking about this a little more, they shouldn't try to squeeze a new joker into future batman movies after ledger (replacing Rachel Dawes only worked because nobody cares about Rachel Dawes).. and i'm not sure how they'd work in harley without joker

Im sure she could play the part. She played the part of a sociopath pretty well in Heroes, this should be a step up for her.

Harley Quinn would fit really well in the Nolan Batman movies. As for the pics to me they look good if they are done by some what of an amature. They remind me of the Megan Fox Wonder Woman one. The suit doesn't have to be 100% correct. I'm sure if Nolan was to put her in the movie it would look more like the ones in the pictures and not the comic. As for Kristen Bell playing the part I think she would look good for the part but don't know if she could pull it off other then they look. I can see her wanting to do the part because she seems to do the comic book TV shows and movies. Hell she has been in or will be in

Astro Boy (voice)
Heroes
Fanboys
Assassin's Creed (voice)

Ok well I thought she had done more of this type of stuff but hasn't. However like I said it would not surprise me if she wanted to do this part when she saw TDK. She might have thought "WOW, I wonder if Harley Quinn will be brought into theis movies. If she is I would like to play her." But to want to play her as a kid I don't think she would have.

I think the best way for Nolan to bring the Harley character in is for it to be like crunchb3rry said. Have her try to take the Jokers place and be as dark as he was. Maybe have her be really happy one minute then she just goes insane the next. Only tone her down some from the cartoons. I don't think the Harley from the cartoons would work.

As for if Nolan will do it again that is up in the air. Chris has said that if roben ever comes into play he is out. Bale has said some what the same thing and that if Nolan goes he goes. The Nolan brothers only want to do what would work in the real world for the movies. Before Ledgers death they wanted to do another one with the Joker then do the one after that with Two Face. Maybe now they will just take the ideas that they had planned for Joker and use them for Quinn.

I think that WB and Nolan are trying for realism (yeah, I know, realism based on a comic). If they want to go that route, I think they should look at Dead Shot and Deathstroke the Terminator. I can imagine having to mob factions fighting it out for Gothom City and using hired guns to take each other out and Batman at the same time.

I even saw a Deathstroke figure in the Dark Knight toy line, so its not out of the question of using a non-Batman villain.

I don't think we'll see Harley Quinn due to her being the Joker's sidekick more or less. Everyone keeps throwing out The Riddler or The Penguin as villains, but I'd like to see someone new and different. I loved the Dark Knight but was a bit disappointed w/ Batman Begins since you didn't really get to see Ra's al Ghul. If they went w/ new never been on screen villain I'd love to see Zsasz.

eh.. these movies have used pretty great actors in the roles... I don't think she has the chops for what Nolan is looking to do.

And he'll be back, he is going to take home the motherload of cash on this one.

Even though I don't really like Brittney Murphy I still stand by my opinion that she would be perfect. Appearance, attitude, voice.

Nice suggestion on Brittany Murphy. She can definitely come across as more than a little whacked plus she has really wide eyes and a crazed grin.
or Britney Spears.....or both?!?
Britney has crazy down pat, but she would need to be able to act psycho...or at least be able to act.

I think Harley should be in it for sure though. People are going to go into the next movie bummed that the Joker is gone. Maybe having her character be a secondary villain that completely fails at emulating the Joker would both remind the audience of why the Joker was such a dominant villain and have some other villain (Penguin, Riddler, etc.) fare better because they are NOT trying to be the Joker.

She wouldn't need to be a Joker sidekick, just a messed up kid with an even more messed up role model. Almost like the Robin role in reverse, but without a mentor present...essentially just a wannabe. Just please, no Ellen Page as Harley Quinn. I'd rather just remember her as Kitty Pryde. She can't act very well in dark character roles, just watch Hard Candy for proof.

I just want Catwoman in the next movie. And for them to have Batman say "Quiet or papa spank." at least once in the movie when he roughs her up.

What about Daffney from TNA wrestling? She already plays bat-s**t crazy. Sure it's not good, but that makes it more like Harley Quinn :)

And I always thought that Kevin Spacey would be a great Riddler. Someone factual and dry. Johhny Depp is a superb actor but I'm afraid of it being too Willy Wonka-ish... and we all saw how that turned in Batman Forever. Pelvic thrusts and birb bombs? Really?

A second rate sidekick that isn't well known to the general public in major motion picture that would be expected to make at least 500 million internationally. I am sure the studio already has K Bell's contract drawn up.

I don't think anyone is thinking of her as the primary villain. However, I don't like the idea of more than 1 villain. It's the superhero movie equivalent of jumping the shark. *cough*Spider-Man 3*cough*

BTW, it would likely do $1B international.

Exactly, and I was being conservative with my figures

Didn't Batman Begins have Ra's al Ghul and The Scarecrow? Then The Dark Knight had The Scarecrow, The Joker and Two Face. I think you just wanted to use the phrase "jump the shark". Obviously, The Scarecrow had a short part in the second. But the other two in each film were main parts of the film. Also, who knows but that The Scarecrow's appearance in TDK won't have some higher significance in the next movie's screenplay?

Ra's was used in BB to help build Bruce Wayne's backstory. Scarecrow was Batman's antagonist. In TDK, the Scarecrow was nothing more than a cameo, Joker was the villian and Two Face was merely introduced. The phrase "jump the shark" was applicable to the situation which is why I used it.

Clock King would be a sweet villain for the third film, but that would never happen. Clayface, Freeze, Ventriloquist or Penguin would be good. The Riddler would be stupid since they just did Joker. Having Harley would be good for the guys to look at, but she doesn't fit Nolan's Batman.
