Is the new ebay fee increase going to effect you?

I was wondering if the fee increase is going to effect anyone here.
I used to have a ebay store but I closed it because after the fee increase Ebay will be making more off of the games then I do.

This is using ebay's new increased fees
Here is how I broke it down
If I put a Stating price for $25
List fee would be $1.20
I sell the game for $48
my final value fee ends up being $1.20
PayPal fee $1.75
So it will end up costing me $5.30 to sell a new game on ebay. From a wholesaler the new game cost me $42 so I end up making .70 cents :cry:

Has anyone else faced this problem?

Well your profits were always razor thin anyhow right? Just convert to nonCC paypal and start your auctions at $1 instead of $25 to increase profits.

But yes the problem with ebay fees is that in certain catagories where profits are slim sellers really get screwed. While elsewhere profits are much higher and the impact isn't as big.

I don't have a store so the rate hikes don't affect me much (only the BIN and gallery fees, and I rarely use gallery) If I had a store I would be royally pissed for sure.

For your example (which appears to be a normal auction example) the fees won't be any different.
 
think that is bad how about the store increase. Basic store goes for 9.95 a month to like 14.95 per month around a 33% increase.

I had a Ebay store few years back (when i was selling Magic online, with authority and a few other online card games) but its not worth 14.95 a month now
 
eBay's usefulness to me end some time ago as things just too crowded. I don't often sell things I bought for my own use and any time I got a bargain on something there were just too many like minded people trying to flog it as well.
 
this doesn't bother me at all...i try to stay away from ebay after all the horror stories i hear and read about...sucks for everybody else...sorry to hear about it :whistle2:(
