[preview][img-r=1]208[/img-r]The following are CAGs most ordered games from Amazon.com (through CAG affliliate links) during Q2 2009 (April 1st to June 30th). Amazon's Xbox Live store is a hit with CAGs, with 11 downloadable codes making the chart this quarter. I think it's safe to assume that CAGs grabbed up heavily discounted bundles of You're in the Movies for the included Vision Camera.

After doing these breakdowns for several months now, it's pretty clear that the Xbox 360 is the most deal-friendly console on the market. Not only is the hardware the cheapest, but Xbox 360 library is the most aggressively discounted too.

So, from looking at the list..

People bought a bunch of cheap, low quality XBLA games?

And this deserves all kinds of recognition..... why?

All that really tells me is that 360 owners will buy any rubbish that's put in front of them, as long as it's cheap.

You're in the Movies? lolololol

*throws confetti*

*streamers*

360 Wins! 360 Wins! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I think You're in the Movies was purchased for the included camera, it was cheaper than buying the camera on it's own I believe.

Doom is a classic game, glad it made the list, along with such classics as Paperboy and Gauntlet.

Oh Rouzhokuu, you made me laugh. :)

I was in for 2 of the top 5. At less than $3.00 each it was hard not to say "why the heck not?". They're dated, but old school beat em ups like TMNT are not exactly springing up every day. Doom's just Doom, but it gives me something else to do with friends online.

CheapyD: Title says Q2, body says Q1.

As for You're In the Movies, it's a blast at parties and easily worth the price with the camera. Bashing games you've probably never played doesn't hide the fact that the 360 clearly has an advantage when it comes to deals.

P.S. How does one "laugh out loud out loud out loud out loud?" Isn't everything after the first "loud" superfluous?

It could be a new acronym, something like:

"Lots of laughs out landishly over loading out loud"

But I don't know, I had to split up a word there to make it work.

Were the points cards swayed by the epic $.20 point card mistake, maybe? I forget if there was an affiliate link in that thread.

yeah, Doom and Pac-man. Good job on calling two of the most iconic and influential games of all time "low quality" ;) You have every right to rip on "You're In the Movies" though  the camera is of little excuse, unless you're one of those people that does amateur porn on Uno.

as for PS3, I think the current "wait for" is wait for uncharted 2. that's when things will turn around, surely.

Or they don't order thru links. Maybe Cheapy is alienating the PS3 fan.

Either way this isn't scientific at all. This is the Cheapy's list of 360 owners that use the links list.

I wonder how many (/much) people lose money on this site thru scams? Their is never any follow-up when scams are found and filtered within the community. The threads just disappear.

Wow, CheapyD just pissed off a lot of fanboys...
Seems like some have already posted already, sure more will come!
I wholeheartedly agree with Cheapy's assessment though :p

360 definitely had some great deals. As a PS3 owner, I've found more and better deals in stores (Target, Best Buy, etc.) than online.

By the way, is the 360 the cheapest console? I've seen a few things where they add up the costs of all the things you would actually have if you owned each console (console, controllers, ability to go online, games) and they all come out to about the same after a few years.

Waiting for flamewar to erupt in 3...2...1...

Cheapy, thanks for the list. I enjoy examining things like this.

Noticed you have Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor down as a PS2 game, but it's a DS title.

And it's sad to see that after several years, there are still people incredibly insecure about their preferred console that they have attack others. Whatever helps you sleep at night, I guess.

i think this list is just an indication that no new games worth playing have come out yet this year. that's piss poor

Wow PS3 doesn't even come in until #47. Sometimes I feel sorry for PS3 owners. Good to see that PS2 games are still selling really well, though.

the only thing this proves is 360 owners buy cheap things through amazon on cag, besides. without actual sale numbers the top game could have sold 100 copies and the rest below that number. Don't make more out of this than it is

Spoken like a true fanboy.

Logic = Fanboy

Or am I also being a fanboy by defending his post? Or are you being a fanboy for calling someone else a fanboy? Or are you a fanboy because you have xbox360 'scam' link in your sig?

I don't know what to think anymore.
I'm actually curious as to which part of my statement made me a fanboy and is un true
I read it wrong and jumped to a conclusion. My bad.
There was an article in WSJ about Amazon's Video Game sales being down...

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124838073359576929.html
am I reading this right?

The Seattle e-commerce giant said sales rose to $4.65 billion from $4.06 billion a year ago. But profit fell 10% to $142 million, or 32 cents a share, from $158 million, or 37 cents a share, a year earlier. Results included the cost of a $51 million legal settlement with retailer Toys R Us.

They sold 4.65 billion in revenue, but only got $142 million profit out of that?
