Radiata Stories also has a very good chance of making it stateside. I hope the Berserk Sammy game makes it over here too, it looks pretty damn good.
Do you know what also kicks ass when it comes to writing messages? Grammar!
Ya know what else kicks ass? Not being a dick!
I mean, the guy just spent a good deal of time putting together this list, no need to give him a hard time.

Amen! The grammar police on this site drive me insane. And I don't usually get railed by them, I just hate reading that crap!

I dont get why they would make metal slug 3d, isnt the fact that its 2d what attracts people. I'd understand if they went the tomba 2 route but this looks like a full conversion

Yea man, that 3D stuff does look kind of cheesy. Looks a lot like a dreamcast game. Either way, I've been a Metal Slug fan for quite a while, and seeing it go to 3D is kinda making me uncomfortable. :?

How much does it cost to import these PS2 games, should they not be announced as a release here? I would like to get my hands on a naruto ultimate hero game.

Is there a raiden shooter game for consoles yet?

Man, those are some cool links. God, I need to learn Japanese. I'd love to be able to understand the games in their original languages.

Yeah, I wish I knew Japanese, or had the chance to learn it. I don't get why my school will teach something like Latin, but not Japanese. I understand many languages are based off of the Latin language, but not many people use it anymore.

Sakura Taisen 3 hasn't been released for PS2 yet.

Its subtitle is called "Is Paris Burning?" (taken from the poem of the same name). The PS2 version is going to be a straight port from the DC version, unlike the PS2 remake of the first game, which has an improved LIPS interface that's more advanced than 3's.

Sakura Taisen 5 Episode 0 is alright... not all that great. I would wait until it becomes a budget title.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Lost War Chronicle is a truly kickass Gundam game. As usual it's released in Japan only and we only get crapfest like Gundam Battle Master 3 here.

Some of those look great. I hope at least some of them are import friendly like the Bemani games from Konami where 90% of the game is in English.

One Piece: Grand Battle has been announced for a US release for quite some time. I really hope it finds its way over here. One Piece: Treasure Battle is also supposed to be coming our way too...

Ugh, Metal Slug 3d is lookin to be pretty fugly right now. Where's the charm of the old games? I want cartoon action, not just midgets shooting eachother. The game's suffering from Advance Wars GameCube syndrome (by the way, what happened to that game?)
I hope namco x capcom is released in the US.
Same here, that game looks great. Also, I hope the PS2 version of Dragon Force gets a release. So more gamers can experience this classic game.

I own Naruto Narutimate Hero 2 and Berzerk: Millennium Falcon from that list. Both games are fun, and definitely does each respective anime series' justice.

Is there still no way to play Japanese PS2 games on an American system without a mod chip? PLEASE understand, I have no interest in playing backups or pirated games (I mean, just look at my collection, I'm into the real thing) but I would love to be able to play Japanese region games.

well there should be some disc that bypasses the secruity safely...well the modchip allows you to do that...the mod chip just bypasses the secruity so you can basically play anything.

anygame where you can have Kos-Mos and Ryu Mistu and Dante and play like an RPG has got to be fun..hope it comes here also

There SHOULD be..but is there? I know the PS2 is a lot harder to play imports on than the Dreamcast for instance where all it takes is a boot disc.

I have One Piece: Treasure Battle for GameCube, but I don't have a freeloader to play it. I've been meaning to buy one forever...
what about Chou-jikuu Yousai Macross... or Super Dimensional Fortress Macross... or whatever its called...
Will never be released outside of Japan unless they let Harmony Gold in on a piece of the action and market them as a Robotech game instead. At the current state of affairs, I don't see it happening any time soon.
