Based on the looks of the thread they still take PS2 trades but not XBOX trades, just like Gamestop...right? I'm going to do a pretty big trade in later this week so I was hoping they would take some XBOX games off my hands.
 
They will call GameStop and match them (if GC's TIV lower than GS), and if you prod a bit you can get an extra 20% on top of it. Not much of an answer, but it's some info, I suppose.
 
I'm so glad someone's doing this. I don't go to GC a whole lot cuz of MVP not stacking, but maybe I'll find other reasons to go now. Thanks ear.

Updated TiVs as well as GC's new promotions.

And hobbie8046, they should be able to adjust your TiVs easily. Just show them your receipt, give them your MVP info, and they'll give you the credit on the account you have with them.
 
YMMV.....was able to get the mvp card to stack, with b1g1 half off. Pushed that gamestop does it, and employee said let me see what I can do, was able to stack it
 
Last week, I got the following trade-in quotes:

Wii Obscure for $4.02 w/ MVP
XB360 Smash Court Tennis 3 was only $2.xx TIV (forgot the exact amt, sorry)
 
Remember, everyone. Bring up the fact that Gamestop has a higher trade-in value on a particular game (Fallout 3 for 360, in this instance), and Gamestop will give you that... and possibly 25% more.
 
The MVP did stack with the B1G1, actually, without an override. It let you do the MVP price on the one that wasn't marked half off. Posting trade values is a bit redundant because they're available on the iphone.

And I actually had this same thread posted here, but I had forgotten to update it with the list of $9.99 games that I had posted. Those $9.99 games go back up in price this weekend, btw.

Got an email back from GC support on the iPhone app:

"We're currently working on the application for other mobile platforms
and will include the feature in a redesign of our web site shortly."

I heard the iphone only lists the newest titles tiv. It would also be good to have some discussion going regarding the tiv's.

It was updated and you can search for whatever titles you want.

I use an ipod touch to access the app. If you're a super cheapass, I have an ipod touch 16gb for sale.. $160 shipped.. not even a cheapass could complain at that price :)

So, can anyone with an iPhone or a competent GC employee check it?

That's cool. Although I don't own one of those. That's a good deal but still too much for me. So it would still be good for me and others to see tiv's here and have discussion.
 
Sorry if I should not be asking this here, but I picked up some of the $10 Lego games last week and wound up needing to return one because my friend changed his mind. So I go to return it WITH my receipt within 7 days of my purchase with all the labels still on it since the game was open. I tell the clerk I need to return it and his first response is "ALL SALES FINAL". So I point out the 7 day part on the receipt. Then he tells me I can not return it because I opened it. I tell him I bought it open I should be able to return it open. Then he tells me that he has done too many returns lately and it will look bad on him. I tell him I do not care. He rambles on about some other crap for a few minutes and then very jerkily tells me that he would not want me to leave unhappy and does the return.

I have only shopped at Game Crazy twice this year.. is this normal behavior?

2 Gamecrazys near me. One has cool laid back employees and the other has little geeks that speak and look like they have a stick in their butt. They try to sell me everything in the world and after 10 NO's at checkout they look like they are going to cry.
 
I wonder if GC would match both the $150 PS3 trade deal and the 30% power trade deal from GS. If so, I think I know where I'm going to get my slim PS3.

I've checked a lot of games on the app versus the actual POS and I've yet to come across an inaccurate trade value. The XBox 360 version of Kung Fu Panda says $1 on the app. $7 is for the PS3 version.

Now.. sometimes values DO drop if the store has too many copies of a certain game, but that's an extreme YMMV instance. I know of one store that has a TON of Fear 2 and gives $4 for it, while another store about 25 miles away only has 3 or 4 copies of Fear 2 and gives $10 for it. What's weird is that this credit drop doesn't seem to apply to some games like Grand Theft Auto 4 and Gears of War 2.. Weird.

It's the collector's edition that came out when the game did.

I already got a rough idea of what these games are worth at Gamestop with the 20% promo towards any NEW item in the store(or whatever the fuckin' promo is), but I'm curious as to what GC is offering(and whether or not the converted HWV stores would be participating and offering those same values).

Someone just mentioned the iphone app and another offered to look up values.. which is the exact same thing that happened earlier in this thread.. i swear, people need to start reading replies in threads.

The $9.99 sale should be ending at close tonight.

(next time please specify if the games are on the 360 and PS3. Logic says PS3 since there's PS3 games in there, but you could have both systems)

The values on a lot of these suck, but then again, we turn around and sell them for extremely cheap.. so.. either that, or the company massively overbought on them or they just sell like crap, hence why we don't buy back Conan and give $1 for Haze (though I liked Conan).

Also keeps in mind that GC does match trade values.. YMMV on if they match the 20% bonus.
