Hell this should stop all the complaining about the sequel and it should have been an expansion priced at $30 or whatever... buy the 4-pack and there you go.

Speaking of... anyone want to go in on a 4-pack and pay each other back with paypal? Seemed to work in the l4d sale earlier this week.

It's not an issue of price, it's support. It took them an entire year just to produce two new, buggy maps and there are still some outstanding bugs in the game yet to be fixed. Why? Because we live in an age where people pay $60 for ODST and other rushed sequels.

Don't get me wrong, I do think that L4D2 is a slap but still, down boy!

Id consider going in for a 4 pack. $33.75 is pretty reasonable.

...and since this thread is for the PC version we should be discussing the PC version.

In for 1. The demo is slated for release on Oct 17 (source: Kotaku) and I was going to buy this anyway. Valve has given me enough value that I don't mind paying through the controversy. Thanks for the Orange Box! Here's my cash.

At least the backlash might make them think about what L4D 3 might be (or if it would ever be sold).

What bugs have you run in to? I've only been playing coop and, aside from the bug where blood constantly spills out of a certain spot when you kill a hunter, I've yet to encounter anything really serious.
 
I want to join up on the 4 pack left 4 dead deal. I have pay pal ready! If you guys want me to be the host and pay for it then I would not mind also!

Also, do you have the functional SDK we were promised shortly after release? Because I sure don't. :roll:

Tanks can spawn directly in front of survivors and get lit on fire while the player is taking control. On Death Toll, survivors can run all the way back to the safe room during the finale and infected will spawn inside of the survivors, so that they pretty much get killed instantly (tanks will still spawn by the docks, but you lose control before being able to reach the survivors). These are just a few of the outstanding bugs that really break game balance.
 
To anyone wondering if they can run it use this site here , they may not have L4D2 yet but you can at least check the first one and see if you can.

If we get a code, can we enter it now to verify it's good and locked to our account, or do we have to wait until the game comes out? I'm really tempted to buy one of somebody's 4-pack codes, but would feel better if I can redeem it immediately after paying rather than in November.

You don't get any code. Just the gift option to send to your friend. Once your friend redeemed it, it's bound to his account. And, yes you can send it immediately after purchased. No need to wait until release date.

Yeah I PM'ed Blood but haven't heard anything back here or on Steam. I would rather get this done today, on the chance that it's a weekend promotion... it doesn't really say how long it's going on and that price is too good not to grab.

I've got PayPal ready to buy one copy but I don't think I can quite swing all 4 right now, so if someone else says they have a copy, I'll buy it today.
 
I'm also trying to get some people together for the 4-pack. I've got a couple friends that might want to, but I still need atleast 1 more person.
 
Does anyone know if all 4 people in the pack will get the early demo and the exclusive bat? Or only the person who ordered it? Did Valve ever confirm anything?

That's why I'm buying MW2 and waiting for them to work out the bugs first. ;)

Bah. I'm having second thoughts and may hop into a group.

Just 1 question though. What is this exclusive bat I'm hearing about? Does that mean I won't be able to get it in the game without a pre-order?
