What is the first PS3 game you purchased?

MGS4, since it came with the system.

First purchase would be Genji...since it was really cheap.
 
My first PS3 game was a gift which was the collectors edition of Fallout 3 (lunchbox and everything). The first game I purchased was Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and WipEout HD.
 
First game...Burnout Paradise and SOCOM bundle. Got them on clearance at Target (hour and a half away). This was about 3 weeks BEFORE I bought a PS3 Slim :)
 
Genji (eww) but i have no choice, it came with the used 60gb PS3 i got from eBay. Remember the good old days people trying to flip the PS3? It was super hyped for two months (shortage). Then the price dropped like a rock... I got my 1st PS3 for $500, with two Sixaxis controllers and Genji. At the time, that was a pretty awesome deal.
 
heh, I had to check my receipt from launch. Looks like Resistance, Madden 07, and Marvel: UA for me.

I'm pretty sure it was December 06, so this was when they were still somewhat scarce.

IIRC, I wanted Marvel Ultimate Alliance, but the Best Buy I got it from didn't have it in stock, so I went with Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom. Which, interestingly enough, is one of the few PS3 games I've bought which I don't still own. I don't remember exactly, but I guess I didn't like it.

You got ripped off. Squaretrade would have cost half as much...then again, you were an early adopter so you knew what you were getting into :p $1k...that's insane.
 
gta4 at full price ( thought it might have stuff in it that would cause it to get reprinted ala san andreas which i have one of those first versions) but no it didnt and the game sucked.
 
Uncharted from an Amazon sale before I even had a PS3 and I've yet to even open it :rofl:

Although, I plan to try and run through the campaign this weekend before UC2 comes out.

Got my PS3 used with many psn games plus:
1. Need for Speed (never played, traded for Haze, which I played for about an hour)
2. Ninja Gaiden (played for 30m and traded for Assassins Creed)
3. CoD4
4. GTA4
5. Unreal Tournament 3
 
First game I bought for my PS3 was Oblivion back in March-April 2007, since I've never played it and kept hearing good things about it. :)
 
WWE SmackDown Vs. RAW 2009: Collector's Edition

I bought it a few weeks ago because it was pretty cheap at Amazon and I wanted the bonus Blu-ray Disc. I'm buying my first PS3 later this week.
 
Uncharted.. game with my 160gb.

First actual game purchase was LittleBigPlanet for $29.99 during an Amazon DOTD.
 
Woot represent Launch Day owners. I got resistance and genji i think i spent near $950 after tax and extra controllers that day. 0_0
 
The first PS3 game that I actually purchased was Metal Gear Solid 4. But I bought the Transformer/Spider-man 3 PS3 bundle so I don't know if that counts lol. I traded the Transformer game like right away haha.
 
I actually was picking up games last December due to sales before I even had a PS3.

Scratch that, I picked up Folklore and Motorstorm from GS when they had their 25% off used PS3 games coupon back in August. So I had at least 4 PS3 games a month+ before I got a PS3 :D
 
gta4. I didnt care about the crazy hype machine that hyped game up. I loved it. Too bad we dont get the DLCs /cry
