I enjoy the CagCast very much, so I will partake in this.

Edit: How do I listen to it from that website? will a player pop up when the Cagcast comes on?

Wait for it to buffer, if it doesn't work after a few minutes refresh. Also, apparently different browsers work better.
Cool.. I had no idea it's a live show this week.
same im still having problems on trying to listen to it.

Edit: finally got it to work but and its now over =( i missed it only got about a minute in...

Damn, It's too bad I came to CAG at the wrong time. I hadn't heard about this so I missed it. I would have looked forward to joining in on the fun. Hope everything went well.

I had a few comments/suggestions about the live show, overall I thought it was great, and it's an awesome idea, especially with this calling in thing, but;

The audio was choppy.

To be fair I've never used blogtalkradio, so I don't know if it was you guys, maybe it was your latency to their servers, or if it was their (blogtalkradio's) service, but it did sadly bring the quality of the show down, because there were times that many people just could not understand what Cheapy or Wombat were saying, and these times lasted sometimes only 10 seconds, but also sometimes 5 or so minutes.

The audio wasn't as crisp as your pre-recorded shows. I played Cag Cast 176 at one point to compare the audio, and it was much clearer, your voices stood out more, and just sounded a bit better.

Also, when I called in, I wasn't sure if I was on when Cheapy was saying my name ("Uh, I think it's...Con.. U-H-F? Conuh F?...") or if I was on the moment he had said "On the air".

Maybe a chime, bell, or a buzz could be used to say like, *Ding!* "You're on the air!"

Overall, I think the test went really well, and once again this is an awesome idea, the sound quality was good enough for a live show, but the choppiness did get annoying after a while.

Anyone else have comments on their experience with the show?

ive listened to podcasts from blogtalkradio and they are nowhere near as good as an average cagcast, but they arent as bad as this live show either

I thought it was fun. I was the British guy (Pascual) and i think it would be cool to do it again but the audio quality was all over the place.

Maybe I was just busy all week but you should make a bigger deal of the live shows cause I didn't realize there was one. I had no clue since you guys were so down on them in the previous few podcasts.

I could have made it to the show had you told us about it a bit earlier even just an hour before. When I saw the twit, it was only an hour old and show was already over.

I don't think it was Wombat in particular, it seemed more like coincidence that the lag spiked when he was talking, afterall, he is connected the whole time, any lag he contributes would be contributed throughout the whole show whether talking or not, especially since when there was lag it was both Cheapy and Wombat's voices.

Great test Cheapy. I do have to say though that after I hung up with you guys, Wombat seemed to get progressively better in quality, so I'm not sure what was causing the spikes. I definitely think that it's a better service than what you've used in the past though.

a bit choppy but previous shows also weren't great quality if I remember.

And man Cheapy's mood changed entirely when Jimmy called, I swear cheapy always seems to want to suck his dick and vice versa. If I didn't know otherwise (and I don't) I'd assume they are secretly lovers.

I prefer the normal CAGcast podcast, but it's cool to have the calls. Maybe alternate, one week do a normal CAGcast then the next a live show the calls.

Gotta think Cheapy and Wombat sounding so bad is less blogtalkradio and more their connections to it and skype conference calling. Everyone else sounded good, except the hosts.

Please go back to doing a normal show. Whenever anyone seems to do a live podcast; the results always seem choppy. And I'm not even talking about the sound quality which was awful.

As live shows go I didn't think it was too bad, but the mer-man audio did get a bit annoying and Cheapy, you need to calm down with the area codes.

I sort of forget if it was mentioned in this podcast or the last about Carpal Tunnel.
I went to the Dr. today about pain in my right hand. The Dr. thinks I have arthritis from all the computer work(17 years), gaming, and guitar. I still have to go for xrays and see a specialist to get the real diagnose. We got into a big discussion about the rise of carpal tunnel and arthritis from all the texting and gaming. The Dr. is seeing more and more younger people coming in with thumb problems.
It sucks but I couldn't help but come home and play games for 4 hours.

I listened to the whole thing. I understood that it was a "test show", therefore I had a good time listening to it while playing FFVII. Things can only get better guys, cut Cheapy and Wombat some slack LOL.

I enjoyed it. I wish I could've understood Cheapy & Wombat when I was on the air.

BTW, I am NOT on the glue. The guy who was on after me, possibly, but not me. I guess I was excited/nervous about being on with Cheapy & Wombat, plus if you know my podcast, that's just how I am. No glue!

Oh god not another one. I somehow listened through all of the first one at work tonight. Just shockingly awful audio quality from beginning to end. The concept is nice but besides the terrible audio the lack of structure didn't help. Nothing against those calling in but besides that charming British fellow it was a very dull show. I love the cagcast but having that Test Show last week instead of an actual CAGCAST felt like a slap in the face.

I just want to say that the guy who talked about the Gamestop employees is a little inflammatory. I work at a Gamestop and we never screw people like that. I know that I personally show the disc to show why I'm defecting the game. His district needs to get re-staffed if that's the case.

We're not all bad people. Jeez.

He didn't say everyone who worked at gamestop did it, he just said to check you ticket because he knows that some people do it.

Cheapy, that show sounded much better. The last show made Wombat sound terrible and although this one did not sound perfect it was much more enjoyable.
