Is Loco Roco 2 for $4.97 a good deal?

And, what are the chances the one copy of Banjo they have will ring up for anything less than $19.99?

That's why I didn't keep either copy, since I had no way of knowing if they came with the DVD or not. Although the back of each case DID have a little circle on it that said 'Crossing The Line' and I think that was the name of the DVD in some copies, right?

please do not talk about flipping the games to X store or to Y website.

i'll have to alter the op and add this. im getting messages from newbs about flipping these games #-o

from now on all talk about flipping games will be removed from the thread. you guys can talk about flipping games on other threads.

Sorry bout that. Although it speaks to the mentality of the newbs to only want the info to flip and not to even get the games for their own personal use.

Then again that's been my MO for a while now too many times.

I'd have to agree that flipping should be left out of this thread. those newbs who screw everyone over just to try to make a buck while the ones who really want the game can't get them thanks to them. shame shame shame! :shame:

I wonder when Gamestop Corperate is gonna catch on about Imagine doctor XD. Was talking to a manager earlier today and he said they had gotten like 15ish copies in just 2 days and that they were gonna stop accepting them

I'm surprised it took them that long to realize it.

I went to the other local Sears store by me tonight. They have two copies of TNA Impact for Wii($3 TIV @ GS, btw)which I bought and then returned about 30 minutes later.

Other than that, they had one copy of WET(PS3), Dirt 2(PS3), two copies of Wolfenstein(PS3) and various other odds and ends.

Lucky for me when I worked retail I never worked at a register, so I never had the opportunity to have that happen to me.

son of a gun i've been looking for wolfenstein :ps3: at three different stores and no one has them they appear to be fruitful elsewhere :-(

Went to a different Sears, and had the nicest women help me. There were 2 bins of $29.99 and under games, and they were pricing everything with current prices. They offered to go to the register and scan anything I needed. Better than that, they showed me their price drop sheets, so I knew exactly what they had. They were like, this dropped $2.00, this one is $10.00 off!!! My niece will hopefully enjoy the copy of Imagine Family Doctor I got for her birthday. Most helpful Sears employees EVER!!!

I don't think anyone actually wants the game. They just want to say they got a DS game for 47 cents.

I'm 100% shocked that books still exist in today's day and age. I thought they'd be out by now. They make up like 1% of today's entertainment and unless you're 60 or older, stray away from books and start emersing yourself with real entertainment.

I see you're in Southern CA, if you happen to be down Orange County way, the Sears at Laguna Hills mall had several copies of Wolfenstein yesterday.
None of the stuff I wanted, but plenty of that.

One of the sears I went to this week has someone doing the same, but obviously wanted some of the items for himself, so the price list was not shared. Read anything new off that list that was not yet posted?

That's why I was going to ask if anyone wanted me to pick up games they might not see in their own area for them if I found a copy(or nine), but I held off since I didn't know what my local stores still had and I remember the mess that happened the last time I offered to help out for cost+shipping(people telling me to send games Media with NO DC and that shipping should only cost $2 a game blah blah blah blah blah).

After that one hassle where the one game got stuck for over a week I rarely send a game anything but Priority anymore.:D

But even when I was sending first class it still cost me closer to $4 or so cuz I go to the post office to mail out.

One of the bad parts of 1)not taking Paypal at all and 2) not having a printer to print up postage from home.

really it cost me roughly 3.xx first class with delivery confirmation via bubble mailer or small box i have laying around and thats on average to people all the way out to new york. i noticed that when i try to ship parcel it seems more expensive for some odd reason.

Long time ago, I got a rude employee who said "all the sticker prices are correct" (and didn't want to scan the games with his handheld)...so I told him "ok I want that, and that, and that" (even games I knew were full price). I picked over 25 games, had him carry them to the register, and told him "read each price from the computer" then picked a few clearance games and told him "I don't want the others......lets go pick up some more games". He had a WTF attitude, I told him "hey, I tried to make you life easier, but now you learned that hard way". I picked another 20+ games and ended up buying maybe 6 games total.

You've never worked retail have you?

No, but I don't say stupid things "all the sticker prices are correct" or "we don't have handheld scanners" (I know they have handheld scanners because other employees have used them for me).

First, that was an assholic thing to do, but more importantly, who did you really hurt? Working retail is incredibly boring the vast majority of the time. And even if this made a *little* more work for the guy, he had to be in the store anyway.

Why is it an assholic thing to do when, I HELPED him pass the incredibly boring time. :) But I was hoping to really hurt him by making him carry all those games and have to re-shelving all games later.

I know I'd have had fun with you when I was a clerk. I'd have scan each game so slowly and any that came up less than sticker, I'd scan a 2nd time and perhaps ask another associate if it were true.

This would not be a problem for me since I know which games I was going to buy and I don't mind the wait. Also I had him scan the clearance games first and said "are you sure the sticker prices are the right prices?".

He could have made things much harder on you than you could on him.

Are you sure? Trust me, customers can make it much harder than employees can, this is basic 101 knowledge.
A few more assholic things I could do:
1. "I want to buy your APC backup batteries, please bring them". Maybe I'll compare all of them at the register. "I want this battery model, but I want the other one that is back on the shelf, please get it". After all the back and forth, just leave.
2. Ask for the glass cases to be opened and make him stand there while I just look at every game (I'll sit on the floor, he can't leave, he can't sit, he can't go talk to his friends, he can't even go to the bathroom).
3. I could complain to his manager.
4. I could do these things, every day that him works.

At least scanning the games and then straightening out the shelves afterwards would eat up some time till quitin' time. At least that's how I would have looked at it.

 HA! They rather kill time talking to each other than actually doing work.

Plus, it'd be a story I'd share w/ the other clerks about this "Cheap Asshat Gamer" that came through. I guess I'm sort of an optimist though.

I hope that he shares his story with other employees, it would be a blessing to have employees break out the handheld scanners the minute they see me.:D

Dude whenever I go to Sears it's dead, even on weekends. I went to the thrift store the other day (and scored a tub of Legos for 8 bucks) and it was busier over there!
