It isnt as cheap as the Endwar Bundle at certain Bestbuys but for 40 it isnt that bad of a deal.[/QUOTE]

I wonder if the quality on these are better? The halo 3 headset I got broke after the first charge. Send that in and got a replacement. The replacement broke after the first charge as well. I opened up the headset and it said do not charge on the battery.

I have the Halo3 one and the quality is so much better than wired headset. It's a lot cleaner/crisper. You can definitely tell who's using a wireless and wired headset online.

It's almost like night and day, when comparing wired to wireless. All the sounds are muffled when I have to switch back after using my wireless for a couple hours. The battery life seems to be about 6 hours on a full charge. You cant use the wireless headset while you charge it, which is a major downside of it, but it seems to charge fairly quickly after the first initial charge. I'd guess about 2-3 hours from 0% to 100%.

I'd recommend it to people who hate the wired headset.

Indeed. I also notice that the wired headsets cut in and out quite frequently. Especially when someone is talking for an extended period of time. Wireless all the way.

Wish I got a good halo 3 headset. Its like I threw $50 outside. I know a few people who have the halo 3 headsets and they are still working. So I don't know why I got two bad headsets.

My Halo 3 headset still works perfectly. Only thing I'll replace it with is the Turtle Beach X41 which I may buy this weekend

I bought a Halo 3 headset when Best Buy had them for 29.99 on clearance locally. I bought one and my 3 friends bought one. Mine and another one lasted a year then stopped charging, my roommate's lasted about 2 years or so, and the other one was DOA.

I've wanted to get a wireless headset for a while, but I remember when they first came out that there were sound quality issues with it. I'm assuming its fixed now?

I have the same question. My friend got one when they first came out, and it was quite unimpressive.

However, thanks to my cat I'm in the market for a new headset and wouldn't mind picking this one up.

I bought an Endwar bundle off eBay a while back and have been using the wireless headset for some time now. The sound quality is much better than the wired headset. The battery life is pretty good...I've yet to wear it out in a single session, although I haven't played for more than 5-6 hours at a time.

My only complaint is that the ear loops it comes with are way too small. It comes with small and medium sized loops. The small one is pretty much for little kids and the medium one still puts way too much pressure on my ear. It's so uncomfortable that I ended up tearing the bottom of the loop off and just letting the thing hang from my ear.

I've had a wireless headset for over two years and it's a definite upgrade over the wired headset. Although you could always get turtle beaches since they're better than both. The main thing I like about the wireless headset would be that it hasn't broken yet and I've had two wired ones break on me in less the time than I've had my wireless one. My only problem with it is sometimes I tend to play a lot and it does run out of batteries but unless you're playing for ten hours straight with it on, it shouldn't be a problem.

I've been using it for about a year now and I love it. Just often suffers the same fate as some of my other various wireless headsets, namely forgetting to charge it. Otherwise, would absolutely recommend it.

Never had luck with these wireless headsets (I've had the regular and halo versions). Always had to talk really loud for it to pick up my voice.

I agree, I missed how sensitive the microphone was on the wired headset compared to this one.

What I want is a wired headset with better sound quality and mic. Surely there's no reason why a wired headset couldn't be better then the pack-in one, right? That the wireless one sounds better I'd presume has nothing to do with it being wireless, rather to do with a better mic and headphone. No?

I bought one just after they were first released (coincidentally, I think it was on sale at Amazon for $40 then as well).

It disconnects and reconnects randomly every few minutes. It can be annoying. I saw other people complaining of the same problem back then. Has this problem been taken care of with the newer ones?

I haven't experienced this problem.

One thing I forgot to note above is that when the headset starts beeping to warn you of a low battery you really only have maybe 30 minutes or less until it's dead.
