CAGiversary!
Looks like those who missed the superstore deal on the 2800 point cards get another chance. Staples is selling the 1400 and 2800 points cards for $5 off each. Buying two 1400 cards puts this deal on par with the recent superstore deal. The 12 month live card is also on for $49.93 for anyone that needs one.

1400 points card

2800 points card

12+1 month Gold card

Web shows two of the items out of stock for me but hopefully most people can find them in store.

Good luck.
Sooo, you can buy a 2800 for 34.93, or 2 1400s for 29.96? Come on Staples, I know you guys sell calculators there.
lol, no kidding. I guess staples is hoping we can't add......

I think I know where I'll be stopping on my lunch hour. There's a Staples just a couple blocks from my office!

It actually comes to $29.86... not $29.96.

Stopped in at Staples (Fredericton) yesterday and they still had a couple 1400 point cards as well as a bunch of 2800s. Unfortunately, my "disposable cash" was only enough for either 1 1400 card or a bottle of tequila. the choice was simple for me. cheers.

Would anybody be willing to pick two 1400 point cards up, and then I will buy them off you, or do Canadian codes not work in the US?

I think point cards are region locked. At the very least, Canadians can't normally use a point card from the US, so I would think it's also true the other way around. Subscriptions seem to be region-free though... not that someone from the US would need to buy that from Canada.

I have heard of it being possible to create a new xbox live account under a different country and loading the country-specific point card there. Then, you just download the content onto your xbox hard drive to be available to all accounts. But, I've never tried it myself so I don't know about the validity of that claim.

I work at Staples and we're out of stock almost everywhere in region 19 (Montreal and surroundings). We can only presell items if we have some coming by mail and I doubt this is the case.

As for what JoJoBlue said, it's false. I buy mine from a US seller on eBay and it's marked as international.

Err no, what JoJoBlue said is indeed correct. US points cards don't work in Canada... Aside from creating a US account the only way (I know of) to use them is to phone up MS and complain that your point card isn't working. They'll manually enter it into your account over the phone once, and tell you never to buy US points again, as they won't repeat this service :cold:

Also, this deal is done. So nobody cares about Staples stock levels
