HHHQ is looking for some talented writers for news and reviews. Are you a big portable gamer? Do you like buying and trying new handheld devices every month or so? If so, we are looking for you. HHHQ is not the only site that your work will be published on. Portable game reviews will be included on our popular gaming site, XGP Gaming.

The job might not be a cash paying gig but there are plenty of benefits HHHQ writers can take advantage of. Just like XGP Gaming, we are making some strong partners in the industry and will be getting free products including games for us to review and keep. With the name of a site behind you, it's easy to target game developers to send you free stuff. They love the publicity.

If interested please email [email protected] or send me a private message through the forums.

*If you are into other console and PC games, you can also contribute to those areas of XGP Gaming.

I do realize it is sort of Spammy but this is the most appropriate place to post such info concerning a handheld site. Plus, its not like I posted this on every game forum I belong to. I only posted it on this one because I feel this is a wiser and more vocal crowd, compared to say heavy flaming boards like Gamespot.

If CheapyD wants we to eradicate this thread then so be it. That won't stop me from using the site for the awesome deals CAG users find nor the hopes of securing a link exchange with CAG.

(At least it wasn't my first post here.)

But still why didn't you simply ask CheapyD before you posted this?

That probably would of been a better route. I am PMing now. I apologize for my clouded judgement at 5AM. I am in dire need of sleep.

It's not a problem, I'm sure he'll understand. This way he knows what going on and people won't flame you for "spam" offers.

Considering the kind of spam we usually get here, I'd say this is pretty tame.

If he has a quality site (can't visit from work), then I don't see the harm. But it's always a good idea to get persmission from CheapyD.

doesn't sound very spammy to me. He's not advertising some dumbass product, just letting CAGers know of a decent opportunity to get your foot in the door of the gaming industry.

has anybody tried this yet? if so, does it work? it does sound a little bit scammy that somebody would pretty much post a job offer on a forum thread. but maybe i'm wrong. it just kinda sounds a little to good to be true. but if it does work, i'll do this in a heart beat.

thanx

EDIT: Sorry for the double post

It's not scammy. It's not like you will be roped into some pyramid scheme or sign away your first male born child. It's just a website of regular gamers writing reviews about handheld games and other handheld devices. Its a great way to improve your writing skills. I started writing game reviews 3 years ago when I spotted a post on a forum for another gaming site and I've written for a few sites ever since then. There's no catch, but of course no pay. I have received free games in the past from marketing companies and from the game publishers themselves. Not to mention free services from Gamefly just because I told them I was doing a review on their services. That got me 6 months free under them. It's all what you make of it.

^Sorry ofr the delay. I think I touched base with everyone that contacted me last night. This week was hectic trying to catch up on sleep and scmoozing for a new day job. Plus it doesn't help that I keep refreshing Gamestop all night long hoping for new PSP vids and screens to come in...
