10% off Bioshock 2 plus free Bioshock 1

That's a DOOZY of a deal. Especially the 4-pack. I'm going to have to save my pennies now.

It should also be of interest that if you already own Bioshock, you have the option to gift it to somebody (this also works with the 4-pack).

Also I'm interested in buy a copy from someone who buys a 4 pack :)
$34 is a sweet deal. I went ahead and purchased a 4 pack. Check your PM. The purchase gave me three copies of Bioshock 2 and two copies of Bioshock 1 to send out as gifts. Not sure why I didn't receive a 3rd copy of Bioshock 1, but I'm going to check with Steam support.

Ya it is a sweet deal...but only if the game is actually good. I know they did well with the first and multi was a necessity if they wanted to get people to buy again but...I dont know...seems a tad bit much for a game you cant really predict to be good all around. I got in on the preorder 4 pack for L4D2 and was quite pleased when it came out - not sure about this though.

This is the best news ever. I'm certainly up for going in on a four pack, though whoever let's me in on one would have to be patient with me as I don't have paypal set up (but I'm totally willing to do so for this).

When I got my 4-pack I only received 2 copies of Bioshock 1 to gift (and I already owned it from the $5 holiday sale). But after restarting Steam, I saw all 4 in the manager for gifts and guest passes.

Many thanks LordFlux, made the transaction quick and painless =)

It's not really a deal, because it's pretty easy to find Bioshock for $5-$10. Bioshock 2 is on Amazon for $46.99, and it'll probably have a sale where it'll be dropped even lower, probably to $40, so this 'deal' fails in my opinion. Maybe if you get the 4-pack you'll save a little more, but even then you need 4 people to split the money with, and you won't get any physical copies.

I'm probably gonna make a 4 pack as I know a friend of mine wanted to go in on one. I'll have to see if other friends want to go in before I look here though.

PLEASE DON'T PM ME ASKING TO GET IN. I WILL POST AGAIN IF I HAVE OPEN SLOTS, THANKS.

Anyone planning on buying a 4-pack and selling Bioshock 1 and 2 separately? I already have the first and would only want to buy 2 if possible. Maybe $25-30 for Bioshock 2, $5-10 for Bioshock 1?

If anyone wants to get in a 4-pack group, I have 2 slots open. Only taking payments through PayPal. $33.75 if you can gift the money, otherwise it's $35. Send me a PM.
Looking to get in on a 4 pack deal. Need both 1 and 2. Preferablly someone with Itrader feedback.
Ditto. If we get two more, I'd be willing to make the transaction.

Wow $33 is a fantastic deal. Still not sure if I'll take the plunge. I loved Bioshock (probably my GOTY for '07) but not sure how well the sequel will stand up; Bioshock really struck me as a standalone game (if anything, with more potential for a prequel than a sequel) so I question how well the story in this will turn out. At the very least, so long as it can provide a similar atmosphere, probably be good enough for me to play it through.

this is an excellent deal. oh and I was in w/ JP thanks

not sure about DRM, but looks to be a GFWL title as well. Yay for achievements..

This is a prequel. If I remember correctly, your character is the very first Big Daddy created. The multiplayer portion deals with a civil war that breaks out in Rapture.

I want to get in on a four pack! I have paypal ready! Someone hook me up!

anyways, here it be...
Console gamers getting the "shaft" deep and hard by the PC gamers...

Enjoy your game everyone. My computer can barely run hl2 :(

You do play the first Big Daddy created, but the single player story takes place after the first game, while MP is a prequel during the civil war.
Has securom, no thanks...
Seriously wanted to grab this one, but DRM on top of Steam is a joke
How do you know it is SecuRom? Do you have a link?

I didn't see Securom on the Steam page and they normally have it listed there if it has a 3rd party DRM.

I used to be against the Securom but after installing Crysis and Warhead via steam, I haven't noticed a THING, except getting two awesome games at a great price and running them on highs/VH native res.. w000t hahah

Although the Steam store page can still be updated, no mention of DRM yet!

The Steam version is going to have SecuROM? :wall:

It says Sony DADC Securom in the Other Requirements listing at the bottom of the page for Bioshock 2, for those that don't see it.

Thanks!

So it was Games For Windows Live, Steam and SecuRom for DRM lol.

Steam doesn't list 3rd party DRM when a game is still in pre-order status. They did the same for Riddick

Well, I won't be getting it. I didn't really like the first one anyway, at least not as much as the hype around it made me think I would.

Even with the securom, doesn't affect my decision. I sort of understand all the hate with securom, but I don't think it's as horrible as everyone makes it out to be.

Im gonna try to get the money to go in on a 4 pack soon, but if anyone wants to gift me a Bioshock 1, my steam id is danro4 :D

I will be doing a 4 pack of bioshock2 and bioshock.
You must have paypal and non credit card funds.
Also funds are to be gifted to my email address along with the email adress tied to your steam account.
PM me...

btw does anyone know if this game will run on low settings with an NVIDIA G210M card? i know what the minimum requirement is but i have no idea if the 7800 card is better or worse

Man, I really wish this didn't have SecuROM... $33 sounds like a pretty good deal and whatnot, though I'm not sure if it's worth it with the shitty DRM :whistle2:(
