USPS question

Hello, I was unsure of where to put this, so I am placing it here. Is it true that USPS 1st Class Mail is the same thing as Priority Mail? I ordered something online with Priority Delivery, but when the shipment confirmation e-mail arrived, the company shipped my product via USPS 1st Class Mail. I did a little research, since I thought that first class is usually 3-5 day delivery, but a few places say it's 2-7 and others say it's the same as priority. Most of those people are retail associates or e-commerce representatives.

Yeah, it's pretty much the same AFAIK, just only for packages 13oz or less. I don't think they treat it any differently.
