Assassin's creed 2 39.99 @ gamestop

No wonder they were offering only 10 dollars for a trade in on the game today at gamestop. I said wow, no thank you.

Only some games. You have to check for each one under the price of the used game. AC2 says "This pre-owned product is guaranteed to work and may not include an instruction manual or original box."(bolded for emphasis)
 
So hopefully with this price drop, Target or BB should have this on sale for $30 within the next few of weeks. Though I have a feeling that Ubisoft might re-release AC2 with DLC.
 
hmm should I just wait to get this through goozex (already have the points and im #7 in line). Or go with this gamestop deal?? Please cags help me, I cant decide.

I know but it seems like too good a deal to pass up. It seems like the price is only gonna go down and so will the value of its on goozex. I think i'd rather spend 30 bucks rather than 1000 goozex points. thanks for your thoughts. I need more opinions!

I called to check if one was in stock was in a particular store. He told me the used was $39? He was familar with the price drop. Is the $32 used online only?

Does edge no longer stack with CAG16? Let me explain..

In the past the two combined took 26% off
now it appears to take 10% off of $32.99 ($3.30) and then 16% off the remaining $29.69 effectively giving 24.5% off instead of 26%

It seems to be online only, which is asterisked after the price... at least for now. I recently went in to grab Forza 3 listed online at 50 and it was 55 in store. It also had the online only asterisk. Other games don't say that if the price is the same in B&M.

i just received 2 used ps3 games from gamestop.com, and they both had instruction booklets, original case, and the discs were flawless.
 
Thanks guys. I just bought it for $26.56. I had to put in my EDGE card 1st and then CAG16 2nd for both codes to work.

I had to do the same thing when I made an order a couple weeks ago. The used 360 game I bought online a couple weeks ago was Popcap Arcade Vol. 2 and it was labeled as defective when it arrived. I can tell it has rings around it and it is also scratched to hell. It also looks like someone took the sharp end of a nail and went to town on this disc for 10 minutes straight.

That being said, it's resurfaced and it actually works fine. Everysingle GS around me has Assassins Creed 2 used, so if it's in bad shape, I'm going to get it switched for a better looking one in person.

I haven't even played the first Assassin's Creed yet, but what the hell. Here's how I'm rationalizing it at 6:00am in the morning. I'm sitting on enough GS credit to waste a little bit. If I waited until the next B2G1, it would probably be around $34.99 used so 33% off plus 10% off would make it cost something like $20, give or take.
 
ahh shit, now that sonic mentions... i told myself id never order online again, the last 3 times i did, all batches were labeled as defective and in horrible shape..not sure i wanna deal with that again

edit: then again those games were all older, released years ago, so maybe ill have better luck with Assassin's Creed 2 hmm..

I traded this in just in time I think, about a day before it dropped in price.

At this point I'm just going to hold out for the eventual version which will include all the DLC, rather than rebuy it just to experience the DLC (which I heard wasn't so great anyways).

Ditto. I've done this many of times. Now I have a personal rule to only rent "1 player/no multiplayer" games no matter how great the game is. IMO my money could be better spent paying a monthly bill than beating a game in a week. From what I've read, DLC for it is around the corner. And knowing GS, they are just restocking and will jump up the price when it's released.

I went and picked up a copy new from the Toys R Us deal where you buy Mass effect 2 and save 20 dollars on a new game that is 59.99. Well that deal stacked with the 39.99 sale they have on AC2. Unfortunately I wanted to pick up borderlands but they sold out, my next option was to buy AC2 and go to gamestop and see how much I could flip it for, the lady at the counter said it was only 10 dollars for the trade, we were both surprised. I ended up placing AC2 on goozex.
