[DSiWare] Alphabounce - Breakout/Arkanoid RPG - Metacritic: 87

For those who don't know, Alphabounce was released last week for DSiWare, and as soon as I heard what it was, I was itching to buy it. I've always loved Arkanoid/Breakout games, and I figured my love would be well-placed in a 500 point DSiWare game. Luckily, it was.

Some of you may have already heard of Alphabounce. It can be played for free on it's website http://www.alphabounce.com/. I believe there are some limitations on how much you can play a day. This will at least give you a sample of what to expect in the DSiWare version.

The game is a mere 500 points, and Nintendo Life has this to say about it:

On the surface, AlphaBounce appears to be the umpteenth generic Arkanoid clone, but looks can deceive! It offers far more content than any other iteration of the game, and will keep you entertained far longer, especially with the customizable envelopes and balls. We're quite confident in saying that this is perhaps the best Arkanoid-esque game ever made.

The game advertises the ability to produce more than 25 million levels, and after exploring some of the game world, it wouldn't surprise me if it can really deliver this claim. The game is addictive, snaring you in with it's simplicity and the just-another-level mindset. I highly recommend Alphabounce to fans of Breakout clones.
