D'agh...! I give up. There's no way I'm waiting for all that to load. Perhaps a 56k warning in the thread title...?
My hope would be that Atlus would pick it up. But most liekely Nintendo would do it themselves (obviously)
what would be the difference? you're saying atlus would translate it with better quality?

People still use 56k?

No Nintendo will most likely do it. If they decided to let another party do it THEN I would prefer Atlus thats all.

I have confidence if it comes over that it will get a good port, and i really hope I dont get let down as this game looks great.

Unfortunately there are still many areas where it's the only means of connecting to the Interweb. Well, outside of satellite ISPs, but those aren't generally what I'm willing to pay for...

Well the story has been covered in lots of places but here is a link that should provide some info.

http://forums.gaming-age.com/showthread.php?t=36692

But here is a summary of the gameplay:

I'm not going to rehash the story too much, as we know a fair bit about it. It's a comparatively short game; it took one of the lucky guys who got it early about a day to finish -- it sounded like it took about seven hours.

The graphics are handled as I expected: 2D prerenders (representing what Ashley can see) are on the top screen, a top-view 3D map (letting you move Ashley around) is on the bottom. When you're solving a touch puzzle, the picture from the top screen is moved to the bottom, and you can then manipulate it ala Myst.

Controls have gotten mixed reviews; one guy found them fairly intuitive, another (Bepbo) said, "The turning/pushing/throwing puzzles did a terrible job at sensing the stylus and I ended up just using my thumb as it was taking forever to do simple things like MOVE A BLOCK with the stylus." You can control Ashley with the Dpad and buttons in addition to using the stylus. Apparently, the controls get easier to work with after a while.

The story seems to be fairly interesting, involving corporate espionage (?) and biotechnology. There's a bit of sci-fi, but not too much. Dialogue, unfortunately, doesn't seem to fork the story path -- it seems that you're forced to answer the right way. That's a bit disappointing. There are possibly multiple endings, but nobody's confirmed it yet. It seems mostly aimed at teens, but I'll give it a chance. I hope the translators do a good job.

The art and music (as we've seen and heard) are very beautiful.

The gameplay is a blend of classic point and click adventure-style with Myst's first-person puzzle-solving methods. Puzzles aren't too difficult, but there are some stumpers. There are DAS (DS ) cards to collect, serving a somewhat similar purpose to scanning in Metroid Prime; this seems the most likely way to get different endings.
