Saw this on Woot earlier and I was pissed cause two Blu's I Wanted weren't online. I really wanted the Watchmen Directors Cut on blu-ray. Bummer. Unless a CAG want to pick it up for me as well. Please let me know.

Hold the phone. Didn't a member here state LOTR would never be cheaper than $55?!? ;)

Good deal. Act fast if you still want the Digital Copies as Warner is already stopping those for the set.

In for Hot Fuzz, Serenity, 300 and Watchmen. Site says my store has em all in stock, but I'm going at lunch just in case. I'll even be nice and grab 9 and an extra Watchmen for you CAGers without a Fry's.
oh please amazon PM this
That would be awesome. I would spend so much money there if they did, seriously

out of curiosity i emailed amazon asking if they had any intention of matching anymore prices but they just gave me their standard
Hello,

Amazon doesn’t offer a price match guarantee. We do spend considerable effort to ensure our prices are the lowest in the marketplace at any time. Because the marketplace is constantly changing and we strive to offer the lowest price, you’ll see some fluctuations in our prices over time.

bleh.

That's all you'll ever get, but now they know about the sale at least so maybe there is hope.

yeah, if anything I was hoping they would know there's interest and money to be made if they decided to price match.

Thanks for much for picking me up that Watchmen Directors Cut! Just PM when you get it and I'll send ya the money!! Thanks SO much once again!!

I went to BestBuy and priced match Casino, 9, Apollo 13, Gran Torino, and Replacement Killers.. $42.75 out the door. The cashier made no fuss over anything.

Nice. Been on a dryspell for quite sometime and this makes it all the better.

Fry's limited me to 1 copy each; I assume that is per trip so I would have to go back to get Watchmen. Also, for any people holding out hope I could get 9 for them, it was sold out already. Lastly, 300 and Watchmen were both 9.99, if that matters.

I'm kinda feeling like they pulled the wool over my eyes, since the website clearly has them both marked 7.99, and they told me they price match the site...

At my local Fry's this morning both of those were clearly marked $7.99 on the shelf. Maybe it's a market by market thing?

Got a printout of the sale priced titles in store at Frys. Pricematched at Best Buy this afternoon for 9, and Kung Fu Hustle. No problem at all. THANKS OP!

Dunno, but a lot of the ones that show on the website didn't have any tag up at all with the sale price. I had to ask a couple guys as I thought maybe the price was only good online for certain titles.

fuckin' Fry's. They couldn't find my order even though I got an email saying it was ready to pickup. Then they could only get me 4/6 of what I ordered. I have rainchecks for Gran Torino and 9

i ordered via fry's, but wanted to get rid of a best buy gift card. i brought my cart invoice print out, and showed them ad on my phone, and even after they called fry's to verify, they refused to pricematch on the grounds of "manager discression." I then asked to see where on their policy it says that and they couldn't find it. an assistant manager then told me they could "refuse service to anyone" and motioned toward the door.

needless to say, i was irate and I will be filing a complaint with best buy.

i got my movies at fry's and rainchecks for what they didn't have in stock.

fry's > best buy

BTW...this was at the duarte best buy.

Such BS, but so typical of SoCal Best Buys...

Had no problem at my local BB. Took home 8 blu's but debating whether to keep Silent Hill and Appaloosa.

I got rainchecks for Watchmen and Hulk. Not too shabby. Funny though, as I've been in Frys three times this week and I've managed to spend $0 because they were all out of what I wanted. Haha.

Thanks OP.

Picked up these from the Best Buy at Tatum in Phoenix Arizona.
* 300
* The Incredible Hulk w/ Digital Copy
* Serenity
* Hot Fuzz
* Kung Fu Hustle
* The Bourne Ultimatum

Had a little wait to price match and what I thought would be some troubles. In the end being super kind and having penitence worked out.

Went to BB to pm and they actually had someone call to verify they were in stock etc.

The lady called and I clearly heard her ask for prices on DVDS...not the Blu Rays. So needless to say the prices came back diff, they denied the pricematch and tried to tell me that the sale was probably only a 1 day sale pricing thing.
would anyone be willing to grab me a copy of the Ocean's Trilogy on blu-ray for $22?
It's available online

NVM oh crap that went out of stock quick, I just ordered mine an hour ago.

thankfully I realized it was available online before it went out of stock :bouncy:

It better not go backordered on me. The Watchmen and Jackal that I ordered are both now showing backordered when I check the order. I hope those ship quick.

jazzman, did you go to the one by South Coast Plaza? Went there today and mentioned the Fry's sale and the floor manager Nathan said "Blu-rays for $8? Did some yesterday!" If you did, I think you primed him for me =D Also PMed BFBC2 for $24.89, at which Nathan commented, "Damn, that's a good deal..."

Took my receipt to BB and got the copy of 9 I bought a while ago (with the $5 off Universal BR coupon) price-matched. Also, got Apollo 13 and another copy of 9 price-matched at Target and was able to use two $5 coupons.

Brand new $3 Blu-Rays FTW!
