Good deal, but I'm still sticking with the $20 Amazon credit.

BTW, Scarface for PS2 is a great game. I definitely suggest picking that up this week for anyone who's thinking about it.

hm..as with most preorder trade in promos, there's nothing stopping me from canceling the preorder from gamestop later right? so an extra 20% for games i would have trade in with the 30% promo going on..

Agree 100%. I'm still crushed they cancelled the 360 version.
 
Eh, I found it hard to play Scarface after experiencing the next-gen sandbox games (like Saints Row 2).
 
Well I wasn't a big fan of Mass Effect 2, and I have an extra Mass Effect 1. Think I am going to go for the Red Dead 2 game trade in for the $40 off. Thanks for putting up the list.

Thanks for the tip good thing I traded in 3 copies of super monkey ball today (which I of course got at best buy for $9.99 each). I figured today would be a good day to see if I wanted anything during the B2G1 sale online

Yep, if you look really closely it is right there above Mass Effect 2 (2 disks)
Anyone know if they will take games off this list without the instruction booklets? I can't for the life of me find my friggen manuals for these games. I NEVER lose them and always have them in their cases, but these are missing some how.....

Yes, though slightly YMMV if they will try to hit you with a refurb fee. If they do, you can just try another GS if it's convenient.
 
Well, I know what I am doing tomorrow, hello Red Dead Redemption. I will try to pick up Mass Effect 2 when the price goes down below 14. (maybe)
 
Not really, this way I have it in hand and the games are traded in on the spot, no waiting period. Also have $30.20 on my edge card to cash in to fill out the remaining 20 dollars for Red Dead Redemption. I got a sweet deal trading in my battlefield bad company 2 copy in, have another one on the way as a part of the buy one get one glitch from there, so effectively I got Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition for 48 dollars shipped with 30 dollars in credit avail. Kind of a long way to get there but feels good getting a deal on that. I might even trade that copy in if my friends no longer want to play Bad company.

I'm wondering if you could do a 2 for $40 deal, and then add a game+50% to make up the last $10 (and hopefully a little extra credit). Maybe not, but in a lot of cases the games I have to trade have $10 tivs, so $20 is better than 50%.
 
wow, so what to do? I just checked to see if they pulled Mass Effect off the $40 Trade-In promo (or added a clause about the game) and there is no mention..I could easily unload my Platinum Hits edition..and maybe Tiger Woods 10 for the Wii b/c I got it for $15 at Target..wish Guitar Hero 5 was on there for the 360 and not Wii only..anyone think its worth it for RDR??
 
Well for those that want a cheap SMG2 should order in the store with the 50% bonus coupon to bring the price lower AND order one online to get the $20 credit on future order. Then return the one you bought with the credit at one store, get it on an Edge card, then return the one you bought online at another store and put that back on your credit card. Use the credit from the first game and the $20 credit online to buy a different copy online.
 
not a bad idea. i already have a $20 coupon code from another game so i think i will transfer my instore preorder to something else.

It is ridiculous! Yes they take them, but they might charge you a refurb fee (a few bucks). If that happens you can usually find a more lenient (apathetic) CSR elsewhere.
 
I unloaded Motorstorm Pacific Rift and Call of Juarez 2 for the 40 off, and paid the remaining for SMG2 last week. I have never dealt with GS before. So what happens if I cancel my order now. Will I get the 9.00+tax back in cash and the 40 in store credit, or will they void the extra tradin value because I am cancelling the order?
 
Online? I have no idea. $20 coupon is only good online.

Torna, I wouldn't cancel it, it's already ordered. What happens now is you go in on Tuesday and pick up your game. The next day, go back and return it and you should get $9.xx in cash and $40 in credit. it'll say that on the receipt that you paid $9.xx in cash, don't let them give you it in credit because they may just do that.

NSMB is a great trade in if you get $40 for it with the coupon.
 
Just picked up RDR PS3 for $16 out of pocket.
