-Purpose of Thread-
This thread will be used for posting limited-time availability custom video game inspired shirts (that was a mouthful). There are a lot of websites that sell video game inspired tshirts, but this thread will only be used to alert CAGs to shirts that are available for a limited time and/or at a special price.

Please post a link to whatever video game shirt you come across and include the game that inspired it (like "Mario"), the price if it isn't indicated in the website description below, and if possible a pic of the shirt (use spoiler for the pic to speed up page loading time).

Visit teemagnet.com for tracking the shirt of the day across multiple websites.

-----------------------
-Websites Info-

shirt.woot.com
Cost: $12 (shirt of the day) or $15-18 (after that day). This includes shipping and there is no tax (unless you live in TX).
Availability: Cheaper the day it comes out but is only available in a limited quantity on the first day. Shirt remains available at $15 for as many weeks as it is popular. Afterwards it goes into the catalog for $18.

teefury.com
Cost: $10 + $2 shipping.
Availability: Only for a day. Sale begins at 12am EST and lasts for 24hrs or until stock runs out.

riptapparel.com
Cost: $10 + $2.95 shipping.
Availability: Only for a day, but I don't think there is a stock limit.

theyetee.com
Cost: $11 + $3.85 shipping.
Availability: Only for a day, but I don't think there is a stock limit.

6dollarshirts.com
Cost: $6. This includes shipping.
Availability: Shirt remains available after being shirt of the day, but shipping is no longer free.

onceuponatee.net
Cost: $12 + $3.69 shipping.
Availability: Collections are available for a week. They also have a limited inventory of older prints available in their vault.

If you want to include other websites here, pm me the website link, a description, and the standard price(s) so I can add it to this post.

-Sizing Info-

Some people like to get shirts from online stores one size larger than the shirts they normally buy (like if you usually wear medium, buy large) since they can shrink a bit after the first wash. Unfortunately it's hard to come up with a general rule as sites seem to change shirt brands at any time.

Always look at the site's sizing chart before making a purchase. It may even give you a hint if you should buy one size larger than normal. If in doubt, I go one size bigger and shrink as necessary. Imho a slightly bigger shirt looks better than wearing a slightly small one.

Those are the only two available right now. If anyone sees a new video game shirt become available, especially if it is shirt of the day, please post it.

-Update 6/3/10-
Donkey Kong shirt is no longer available.
Mario Kart shirt is still available and currently the #1 seller on shirt.woot.

Yeah and it sold out really quick. It's pretty awesome, I may pick it up for $15.

Are people really interested in shirts like this?

I own a merchandise printing/graphic/webstore company, so I might have to look into doing something similar in nature.

There are actually several sites that do a "shirt of the day" type deal. You can see them all on one screen (including shirt.woot) at teemagnet.com

These custom designed by the community shirts are quite popular, especially video game inspired ones. The only problem is that the shirt can't infringe on any copyrights, so Woot carefully monitors what the community artists submit and disqualifies any design that they could get into legal trouble for.

Me too. I'm wearing my Ryu Street Fighter 2 tee shirt right now.

I'm still pissed I missed out on getting an Oscar Mike t-shirt from Giantbomb. Probably the only video game related tee I would have worn.

There is always a demand for gaming shirt from the gaming geeks to the wannabe hipsters.

Found my secret have you?

teefury.com occasionally has a video game related shirt of the day. the shirts cost $11 shipped, but theyre only available for one day and then they're gone.

well, actually they have random grab bags every now and then too...so you could get lucky and get a shirt you missed out on

I totally agree...I didn't find out about it until they were sold out. That design is so well executed.

I am fully aware of copyright infringement, our designers are really good at what they do.

I wouldn't start something like woot, I would just think up ideas and have my designer make them come to life. Maybe a cheap ass gamer collaborate t ;)?

Sometimes they don't monitor quite enough.

I really like the one of Donkey Kong eating a sandwich - his face is hilarious - however I think I will just admire it from afar. I just can't see myself wearing a "gaming" t-shirt. Something about pride.

I guess I'm just not pre-nerdened.

Choose Your Weapon is available directly from the artist at the inflated price of $18 (+ shipping I presume)

It was a Teefury shirt a few months back:

And another very overpriced custom T for $19.95 base:

It's fun to look at, but I only buy from Teefury or Shirt.woot. I even had to stop buying from Threadless ever since they changed up their material. They're way too soft & snuggy now, not exactly what I like in my T-shirts.

HESAVEDAVE: Zazzle.com has up to 6x. At some point, you'll need to buy iron-ons for blank Ts or fashion a shirt out of a cool designed twin sheet set.

Not to mention overpriced. I stay on their mailing list in hopes that they'll reprint one certain tee, but it's been a couple of years now & they haven't done it yet so I'm not holding out hope.
I got the turtle school one from woot the night it debuted. Great shirt!
That's the one I'm getting for sure :D

What do you prefer? Sandpaper?
All I have to say is...www.6dollarshirts.com

Where else can you get a Power Glove shirt for $6? They also have some great shirts that reference Arrested Development.
$8 shipping!!?? More like $14 shirts... cool shirts though, i'd have a field day with a free shipping code.

You could take advantage of their 10 for $50 deal which makes it just over $6 shipped for each shirt.

Toys R Us (B&M, YMMV) near me has some Nintendo shirts on clearance for $10 a pop.
I got a nice grey Nintendo logo shirt (XL) for myself the other day.
