I know there's a thread like this already, but this 1 has a different number so i figured i'd post it to increase ur chances of winning.

I was playing NBA 2k10 and noticed an ad in the background that said "Text 'GM' to 74139"

Thanks! I sent the "GM" text to both 75920 & 74139 and I received the same exact text message but no "you already entered" so hopefully we can win 400 points from both or increase the odds of winning by playing twice a day :bouncy:
 
The other GM number is for a "military vehicle discount". This one is for a "college vehicle discount". They're apparently two seperate contests, which is awesome! :)

unfortunately, i have yet to win anything from the other GM contest, so I hope I fare better with this one...
 
Texted it and got a reply back .... it comes back sayin entered chance 2 win college vehicle discount yada yada yada ..... I won 800 on the spalding so maybe this will work too
 
Texted and got a reply ^_^, hoping i win tommorow morning by the time i wake up, if so i shall leap out of bed and download Puzzle Quest 2

migth check you're txting option and make sure automated txt are fine to receive
 
When you enter these contests, do you get texts from the companies after entering trying to sell stuff? I'm thinking about entering but don't want ads sent to my phone or put on some mailing list.

First, do yourself a favor and get your cell phone on the no call list.

Second, you can always text stop and they legally HAVE to stop texting you, that being said, I've won damn near $100 in microsoft points from 5thfinger promotions and never gotten text spam.

Never really got verification from the last once since it seemed broken. I don't plan on saying ok or stop. Stop might stop ALL communication as 5th finger has to include that in the texts. Not txting ok shouldn't affect it since the text before it says you are entered. GM just wants to try and get you on their text alerts service is all.

Yeah they are fine to receive. I get automated texts plenty of times, except when they relate to a contest >_> FML
 
I get they can't understand the message and to respond with a valid code? Also can't seem to do 75920. I don't get a response at all. Am I too late to the party?

And I've been able to do past txt promotions on the same phone, so don't know what's up.

it is possible that either of you two are using a provider that is prohibited. I don't think there has been one before, but it's possible. You could also somehow be sending the message in a format that isn't a standard text or something? I know on my phone if I go over a certain number of characters it sends it as a "page" and it would mess up something like this. I really have no clue just offering suggestions on what might be up.
 
Weak, I'm suddenly getting that "We can't understand your message" stuff. Worked fine yesterday and the days/weeks before. Will have to try again later
 
Same here. Been getting the "entered to win" msgs past few days. today is either no reply or we cant understand. wierd. maybe they cut the promo short?
 
Perhaps they are running a new promo under those numbers now. We just have to find out what the keywords are for it, maybe...
