What is the best deal going? There was a power surge at my house yesterday, and despite being plugged into a surge protector, my xbox 360 is now red ringing it. I was looking for a reason to buy the new model, and I guess now I have one.

I just got mine from Newegg.com right before I spotted that thread -_- but I still saved on tax. It's way sexier in person and it's smaller than I thought.

Call MS also, even though you may have had your Xbox beyond the warranty they often don't know when you purchased your Xbox so you could get them to cover the repair. That way you could sell it to offset the cost of the new one.
