I figured that since some folks were looking for and couldn't find the coaster sets or their closest Kmarts closed up years ago that this would be a good idea for those who simply want the coasters.

This thread is for those who solely want the coasters and the coupons for a future purchase.

With that said, please post your haves(stuff you'd trade for the coasters) and of course post your wants(the coasters).

EDIT: I have been informed that the buying/selling of coupons is not allowed on CAG, so I have edited the original post and title to reflect this newly gained information.

Breakdown of cost is as follows:

$5.30-cost+tax
$3.00-shipping
$1.70-for my time and in the event I need to buy a single mailer for $1

Originally I wasn't including the coupon since my friends said they wanted them, but after they found out they're not valid till October they said to forget it.

$2.75 to mail them

There always has to be a smartass in a thread, huh?:roll: My price is to prevent people who wanna buy them from me to resell on EBay. I took the time and I drove to 4-5 stores to find a bunch of sets for people on CAG(one of whom is currently temp banned/silenced).

People who expect others to cut themselves short just to give others a 'deal' need to learn that finding and getting deals costs money(and gas).

I'm trying to do something somewhat nice for the CAG community while also assuring that my gesture doesn't make some hoarder/Ebayer richer(if by just a lil).

Excuse me for not wanting to sell the sets for $5.01 and saying 'forget the tax, shipping costs(including mailer which I may have to buy for $1 per set since I don't keep a ton on hand) and even giving me a buck or two for the gas I used cuz I just wanna lose money to get someone else a deal that they might resell'.

Ya know what. I'm not even going to reply any further here. If you disagree with why my price is $12 for the coasters, fine. Whatever. I'm just trying to get them into the hands of people who will not resell them who actually want them for their collection.

If it means I have to come across as 'gouging' to make it unprofitable for the Ebayers on CAG instead of charging only $9-10 shipped(again, I don't keep many mailers around, so I'd just buy one for $1 to ship out with), then so be it.

But you don't have to be an ass about it.
 
I dont think this thread even needs to exist. Who's gonna come trade coupons? We all know what you paid for coasters, so its fine to try and sell those, but as far as I'm concerned this thread isnt gonna blow up with demand. May as well just have the coasters in your own tradelist.

Also, supposedly 8k more coasters are arriving at Kmarts on Friday (?) so lets all hoard some more.

So if the SHC rep himself is ok with this, then I guess it's approved. If you don't like the prices that's fine, but no need to start with the 'zomg hoarding' thing.

There were some people who couldn't find the sets in their local Kmarts and that's who this thread is targeted for. As for trading/selling the coupons seperately I'm waiting to see if it's approved of by the mods. If they say the coupons need to be bundled or can't be sold/traded, then so be it.

Oh for fuck's sake already. You people are ridiculous. I suppose those of us who did go out and spend time and gas are really supposed to let the coasters go for UNDER what we paid because EVERYONE on CAG is ALWAYS giving back to the community.

...Honestly man... I can't say I remember seeing you ever give back to the community.... just try to profit and hoard so... Yea. No pity here.

Also, if these were available somewhere that actually gets stock I'd be all over a set.. but it's Kmart... so even if they had them I would fear the contamination.

FYI, the coasters are a timed exclusive, so don't feel pressured to buy these immediately. Some retailers will have these available with a pre-order in a month or so.

Good reason? I used to pick up Kmart clearance stuff specifically to send out to other CAG's for true cost+shipping, but quite a few unreasonable(demanding I send stuff Media after being repeatedly told that those items aren't allowed to go that rate, demanding I send stuff with no DC just to save $.70-.80)experiences have left me with the 'pay what I want you to or get lost' attitude.

As for the pricing I used, I just wanted to keep the people like GordoJones88(who someone posted an auction link selling the coasters for $20 for)from crying saying they couldn't find them and turning around and selling them on Ebay for double and keeping them out of the hands of another CAG.

I felt it was reasonable and cut into the Ebay potential for profit enough that it would dissuade the Ebaying CAG's from bothering to respond to ask for a set.

If you so desire, yes. If you wanted to toss in a can of free refried beans with the coasters, go for it. Totally up to the seller.
 
I edited my post to reflect that my friends no longer want the coupons, seeing as how it's a timed coupon that's not able to be used until October.

So now the sets are $10 shipped(extra buck in the event I gotta run out en route to the post office for a single bubble mailer cuz I don't keep a ton of spares around), since I just wanna get them out to whoever at this point.

Have coasters sets available. prefer to trade them for PS3 games. Will trade coasters and give you the $15 coupon as a gift. Looking for used PS3 games such as GOW3, Fallout 3, AC2, RE5, Lost Planet 2, or other great games (just got my PS3 3 months ago).
 
Quick question: Is the coupon printed with invoice or it comes inside the case? If it's printed, is it still available? I just found a couple at my Kmart (I also can mail them for people who want)

Is the $15 coupon deal expired because sunday mourning I picked up a coaster set and the coupon did not print?

Found out my semi-local Kmart has about 15 sets of these coasters that they have been holding on to as they don't know how to sell them. I've contacted SHC-Gamer to help me resolve this matter and hopefully once he does I can pick up my set and maybe pick up some extras with the help of the Mrs.

If anyone wants a set please PM me. Pretty much send them to you for cost of coasters plus shipping as I'm just looking for the coupons to spend on some games in the near future.
