Spider-Man Web of Shadows worth picking up???

Hey I am looking at the GS B2G1FREE deal, and I came across ^ and I was wondering if it worth picking up for 18 bucks? Any comments are worthwhile, and I beat spider-man 3 awhile ago.

Absolutely. I loved it. People say that Spider-man 2 was the best, but I've never played it. I had few regrets with Web of Shadows, especially since my expectations were zilch.
 
For $18 I say yes. I liked this game. I don't now why people hate on it so much. It's not the best game in the world but it's got a lot of good things going for it.

Just don't expect to be pulled into the story. It's also got horrible voice acting. As long as you go into it for the action alone then you won't be disappointed.
 
I haven't played it (didn't even know it was out already), but Spidey games are generally pretty fun so I wouldn't see why this one wouldn't be.

And the game came out in 08? Bah. I must be thinking of something else.

Pretty sure you're getting it confused with Shattered Dimensions.

I don't know that I would trust an average of 30 people on Amazon for a video game, as they typically look for different things in games than I do.

I also don't know that there was much reason to blast a fellow CAG just because they did not like a game.

Amazon forces theirs reviewers to actually write a review. It doesn't take long to read them all and get a pretty good idea about whether or not you'll like a game or not. The star ratings themselves are meaningless outside of segregating the reviews to make them easier to scan through.
 
Spider-Man 2 was one of the best Spidey games ever .. and every Spidey game since then has flat out sucked -- until Web of Shadows. This one is actually pretty good, I never got around to finishing it as I got sidetracked with other games, but I'm about 3/4 through the story mode and it's really fun. One of the better Spider-Man games around.

It can be had for around $12 new through Amazon (at times) and eBay, so I wouldn't bite on $18 used from Gamestop.
 
I watched alot of reviews and I'm a big spidey fan, so I think I'll give it a go. I was just concerned because many review sites only gave it a 6 or so, but if many other spidey fans enjoyed it....minus the bad voice acting then I'm ok with that.

btw..... why do they find the worst voice actors combined with the worst jokes for all of spidey's one liners, I read alot of the comic and most of the material there is funny.

Thanks guys for posting your comments about the game, I'll let you know what I think of it when i actually receive it.
 
28.98 clearance price at TRU, then 30% off clearance games this weekend, then $10 off from Halo coupon = around 10.50. Thinking of doing this myself tomorrow.
