In retrospect, Saturday night may not have been the best time to start the contest. Thanks for entering! In the future, I'll be giving away any swag I get from game companies.

[quote name='Shurs']For those who don't have a Twitter account, "liking" us on Facebook will enter you into the contest as well. The only stipulation, and this is really to avoid spammers, is that you have 50 friends or more.

Here is the link to our brand new Facebook page:

I guess I can understand that, but that's still a little outrageous. I'm not a spammer on Facebook, but I also have less than 50 friends because I never use the site.
Regardless, I used Twitter as noted in my first post.

I just started the Facebook page for the site today. What do you think I should lower the friend limit to? Does 20 friends seem fair?

I'm not saying it isn't fair, just a little outrageous. Most people I see, including my friends, have like 200+ friends. I only have like 15 or something.

To me, saying you have to have a certain amount of friends on Facebook is like saying you have to have a certain amount of followers on Twitter. Luckily you didn't impose such a thing for Twitter, so I was able to enter.

You're right. I'm going to lower the friend requirement to 10 on Facebook.

I appreciate the feedback. This my first giveaway, and I'm still learning.

Hey, guys, I've decided that I don't want to drag this contest out over a month, so I'm picking a winner for the dice tonight. Starting tomorrow, and going through Sunday, I'll be running the contest for the soap. The next week, we'll be running contests for the playing cards and the shirt.

So be sure to get your retweets in for the dice, to add to your chances of winning. Also, anyone who "likes" The Game Journal on Facebook has an additional chance to win.
